XOCH. Her music, her look, her presence, they awaken your senses and demand your attention. With a tour de force of vocals and a commanding stage presence, singer/songwriter front-girl XOCH (pronounced “Zoach”, meaning “the goddess of flower and song”) knows how to grab her audience with huge hooks, a driving and dynamic rock/pop sound, and powerful lyrics that resonate poetically inside your head, refusing to let go.

No stranger to the studio, XOCH is currently writing and recording songs toward her 4th CD, tentatively scheduled for a Summer, 2008 release. Previous CD releases include “popcore du jour”, released in June of 2006, “Cabaret”, released in December of 2004, and “The ONE”, released in January of 2003. “The ONE” was also released throughout Europe in February, 2005 through label and distributor Now & Then Records and Cargo Records.

XOCH’s original songs can be heard in the television broadcast and DVD releases of MTV’s hit series, “Laguna Beach, Season 1” (My Desire) and “Laguna Beach, Season 2” (My Desire, The One, You); ABC’s “All My Children” (My Desire); comedienne Margaret Cho’s theatrical film and DVD release, “Bam Bam & Celeste” (Best I Never Had); Candlelight Media’s theatrical film and DVD release “Turn Around” (Anything); the Lifetime Television Network Original Movie “Sex and the Single Mom” (The One); promotional materials for the VH1 television program “VH1 Rock Honors” (Crazy Over You); a national TV commercial for a major automobile company (Faith); a nationally released Jeep/Eagle promotional CD entitled “Film Tour Favorites” (My Desire, Johanna’s Café); the independent documentary film entitled “Crash Artist”, scheduled for a 2008 film festival tour and HBO documentary release (Anything, Best I Never Had); and most recently, the series pilot for the forthcoming television program "On The Prowl" (Anything, Best I Never Had, Dirty Thoughts).

XOCH is an engaging, provocative and versatile performer, equally adept at both the intimate setting of a small acoustic performance and a balls-out full band electric concert. She has shared the stage with such national acts as Evanescence, Joan Osbourne, Pat Benatar, Spin Doctors, Lit, Butch Walker, and others. She has performed at such famous venues as CBGB, The Continental, The Knitting Factory, The Bitter End, Arlene Grocery, The Chance Theater, Northern Lights, The Palace Theater, NYC’s MEANYfest, the Block Island Music Festival and the Hudson River Arts Festival.

With her range of commercial appeal and her avid following, it is only a matter of time before XOCH invades the airwaves and beckons the listeners to take heed. XOCH has received significant press and radio exposure throughout the United States and Europe, and her loyal fanbase and notoriety grow on a daily basis. A new force in female fronted rock/pop is ready to take the music industry by storm, and her name is XOCH.

Awesome, to sum it up in one word. I was completely blown away - her vocals are perfectly complemented by a cadre of very talented musicians. From the completeness and total fluid-smooth "The Fool's Dream" to the catchy title track, you won't be disappointed! Give "The ONE" a listen and you are certain to have a new favorite artist.

Read the review on this CD in Classic Rock magazine and was delighted to discover the album lived up to my expectations. Loved the voice and the subtle powerful accompaniment to some excellent songs. Already looking forward to the next album from Xoch and hoping she will tour the UK soon.

  • Amazing Vocals, The Next Big Thing!
    author: CincinnatiSarah

I got this CD for Christmas because my fiance thought she sounded like Avril Lavigne. Well, I don't think she does but she does have an amazing voice all her own. I would definitely recommend anyone buy this CD. I took Britney SPears out of my CD player to listen to this one and haven't been disappointed in a single song. I won't be suprised when she hits the big time and I can say I knew her when....

  • What a great cd!!!

  • Xoch 's CD "The ONE" is awesome!
    author: Xoch Fan

From first song to last song, this CD is just awesome! The first 3 songs all have the potential to be top 10 singles. This CD is diverse, thoughtful, compelling, and spectacular. From rockers to ballads and everything in between - whatever your taste it's all there, and done extremely well. XOCH is simply the best female vocalist/songwriter out there today, and let's hope she gets the attention she truly deserves.

  • Excellent vocals & songs...especially Invisible People...my favourite
    author: Nancy D

I thought Xoch's songs were fun and uplifting. My favourite song is Invisible People. Every song just had such a great melody. I really enjoy listening to the CD. I pop in my CD player, crank open the sunroof and just cruise! It's a great CD to drive to!

  • Forget the likes of Avril Lavigne, Xoch's music is much better...
author: Nicky Baldrian of AOR Dream Zones

New York's Xoch is the next artists we should all be talking about. Forget the likes of Avril Lavigne, Xoch's music is much better and as Xoch herself explains "My music crosses the line between rock and pop". Songs like 'The One' prove this, it is a very catchy song. Xoch's vocals are superb and will soon be featured on our unsigned bands contest. 'You' continues this style, again a very strong catchy song, reminding me of Amanda Marshall and Avril Lavigne. I loved the guitar solo, and once again Xoch's vocals are superb. 'My Desire' is up next and if this song doesnt find itself in the upper reaches of the US charts then I really will begin to wonder how Americas music industry is handled, this song is very catchy almost reminding me of Belinda Carlisle and Christi Baeuerle. Superb. 'The Cold' is again catchy pop/rock. Another surprise was the seductive pop ballad 'Let Me In', a brilliant song reminding me of Liz Larin, whilst 'Look Into The Storm' is more gentle soothing and sweet, built around acoustic guitars. The lyrics on this song are also very good and this is another song that could get lots of radio airplay for Xoch. Xoch rocks things up a notch for 'Invisible (People)' a song that has a more modern feel than the others but does not let the standard drop and is again a brilliant song showing hints of No Doubt and is very catchy. 'Rage & Confusion' I found a little disappoint(ing) and is one of those songs that will find itself at home in the world trendy night-clubs, but then we hear another fantastic song called 'Letter'. This track is so damn catchy, amazing vocals and chorus on this song, another song that should slide it's way up the US charts. 'How Many Times?' is another cool song, again this one is a bit like Avril Lavigne, could almost be a Bon Jovi song to with it's strong guitar work that resembles the guitar work in Bon Jovi's 'Always' song. 'Faith' reminds me of No Doubt and Garbage, whilst the last song 'The Fool's Dream' was a real surprise, a sensuous song that totally captivated me. This song is beautiful and is built around violins and acoustic flamenco guitars and is just so enthralling, the lyrics are also very strong on this song, a possible top ten single here. Also just when you think the album is over right at the end there is also a short weird experimental hidden track at the end of the album What amazes me is how strong these songs are, Xoch should have no problem in linking a European record deal, stardom is only around the corner. Essential. 90/100 Nicky Baldrian, AOR Dream Zones
