notes
Will Dudley, the son of a soldier, grew up on Air Force bases around the world, and misspent his youth taking every wrong direction he could find. He worked as a songwriter for Co Heart Music in Nashville, owned by Hank Cochran and Willie Nelson, and has performed from Bar Harbor, Maine to Seattle with the likes of Ian Tyson, Charlie Daniels, Don Edwards, the late Townes Van Zandt, Tanya Tucker and John Prine among others.
He's been jailed in Austin, shot at in Nashville, caught in a blizzard in Wyoming, and stranded in New Mexico. He rode a horse into the Arizona Biltmore Hotel in Phoenix to entertain and sing for their guests, and has been flown to Dallas by the mayor to sing for his constituents. He likes to spend his summers singing for guest ranches in Colorado, and his winters are normally spent in Arizona, Texas, and New Mexico doing the same in the bars, hotels, and guest resorts in those states. There are some truly amazing musicians surrounding him on this CD, including Grammy Winners Stuart Duncan and Al Perkins.
On a personal level, kids like him, he doesn't embarrass himself unnecessarily in public, and his voice has been described as a "gentle baritone".

A Beautiful Work
author: Al HansonOne of the best I've heard in years. Takes me way back ......
Oh, Will...
author: RebekahI've known them all by heart since I first heard you sing them. They take me back to dusty Rye roads, my old Jeep, the horses, Alys' party and a snowy birthday celebration.... Thank you for the memories. Your talent is nothing short of spectacular, my friend.
Great CD
author: Adair CorrellI truely liked all the songs, but particularily liked Colorado Horses, Itty Bitty Outlaw, and The Ballad of William Dubois. Nice meeting you at Kerrville Will!
Real, tasty music from the soul
author: Dave EwingThe music and lyrics paint a picture that all can appreciate. If you don't live this life, this cd is a slice of it. For those of us that do live it, this is salve for what ails you. I would recommend it to any and all!
Excellent CD
author: Paul GallagherThis is one excellent CD. Very enjoyable with great lyrics ,melodies and musicanship. Shelley , Coyote Moon and Cowboy Angels in particular are three of the nicest songs I've heard in a long time. I hope this CD has sold well because it certainly deserves to
Wonderful cowboy poetry set to music
author: Urey W. PatrickA wonderfully talented singer/songwriter - great lyrics (I mean GREAT lyrics) and wonderful musical arrangements. Dudley's talents are not common - easily in the same class as a Willie Nelson, Nanci Griffith, Tom Russell, Ian Tyson or Kris Kristofferson - compelling lyrical images and melodies that draw you in and reward you with song. This collection is all original Dudley works - a rare and wonderful find - a real testament to the cowboy/western tradition.
A true wandering cowboy poet full of good tunes.
author: Fred DoughtyCowboy Angels will take you back and take you there. Song after song is a hit after hit. This music needs to be heard.
AN ENJOYABLE CD
author: MAURICE TAYLOR (ENGLAND)I enjoyed this CD. WILL DUDLEY sounds similar to WILLIE NELSON,I mean that as a compliment. I particularly liked THE COWBOYS LAST WISH and DREAMS OF LONG AGO. A very good CD.
Love The CD
