Sirens' Song is a four member all girl band, and offers a distinctive sound with complex harmonies and acoustical instruments. Band members influences include Loreena McKennet, Sting, Keats and Byron! The style of Sirens'Song is very difficult to describe, but the band has been characterized as pop/folk/celtic-rock with poetic lyrics and singable melodies. You can read our full bio at

Silk Road
I traveled to Venice at age 19, and saw the birthplace of Marco Polo. Fascinated by his travels, this song is told from Polo's point of view, after his long journeys were over. Polo died in Genoa after writing a "book of secrets", where he described travels so unusual, they were thought a fantasy.
Flying with the Falcon was inspired by the falconer from Scarborough Faire in Texas.
Dreams of Atlantis is a continuation of a song-story from our first cd. Told in first person, the daughter of Jamison wonders about her dreams that seem real, and asks very difficult questions of her father.
Moon Will Follow You was written for a friend's wedding. The "jewels from Ariadne's crown" is actually a constellation. Ariadne married a god, according to mythology, and when she died..he threw her crown to the heavens where it became stars. Apollo drove the chariot of the sun, and Diana, the moon.
the Bobby song is about a woman that needs to leave both a man and a place, but cannot bring herself to do either.
The Western Wind is about the wind and the name of a ship. I wanted to write a song that had a rocking motion, like on a boat.
Years ago, someone suggested that we do the song "take me to the river", but I thought it a little stylistically off from our group. I liked the title and worked a tune/words to fit us perfectly.
Land of the Midnight Sun was inspired by a friend's description of Alaska, when she lived there she said she was "color deprived", seeing only blue and green, blue and green. The flute gives a nice, lonely feel to the song.
Valparizo is a port on the coast of Chile, South America. You must round Cape horn if you are traveling from the Atlantic side of the world. This is a song about dreaming of visiting other lands, which is how I spent most of my time as a girl.
Spirits of the Sky is inspired by Hans Christian Andersons' Little Mermaid story. The spirits are mermaids traveling over the earth, giving aid to humans. In giving this aid, they attain immortality and a soul.

Beautiful
author: Beware The PookaEthereal harmonies, with limited instrumentation on many of the tracks. If I owned a ship, I would certainly dash it on the rocks in pursuit of these voices.
Starlight and Shadow
author: CharleneI bought this album purely because of the track 'Silk Road' which I had heard on the Celtic Music Podcast. I loved this song the first time I heard it and have played it dozens of times today. Beautiful and haunting. I love the whole album, so can heartily recommend it!
Starlight And Shadow
author: ClaywomanCan't decide if this CD or Daughter of Ocean is my Favortie. Something about these women and their music is absolutely magical.....even spiritual. Their lyrics will draw pictures in your mind of mystical, far-off places and the music will transport you there. You'll gladly follow these ladies down the Silk Road, to Valparaiso or where ever their beautiful voices lead. Intelligent, sophisticated, whimsical, uplifting, melancholy, thoughtful....so, so much more. How rare. How fortunate for us.
Fantastic! This is the music of life. The harmonies . . .
author: Paige SteadmanThe constantly moving music is vibrantly alive, and the sweet vocal harmonies will pick you up and twirl you about in a loving dance.
my kind of music
author: LillianThis is a CD I listen to over and over. The harmonies and stories in song are delightful to hear and learn. Silk Road is my favorite, and has inspired me to read and learn more of Marco Polo and his travels. Thoughtful lyrics and wonderful melodies.
My kind of music!
author: A Nonny MouseI play it a lot. It's soothing, easy to listen to. I'm especially glad that they chose to inclued the words with it.
Lovely!
author: TraderTifI just love this CD! This group is great!!
This album is truly an Adventure For The Soul.
author: JDASome months ago I first heard Sirens’ Song on Renradio.com, and became an instant fan. This their second as well as their first, Daughter Of Ocean, highlight beautiful vocal talents and arrangements far superior to the cookie cutter singers heard most of the time on the radio today. Their songs are relaxing, insightful, wondrous, and written by the group themselves. This album is truly an Adventure For The Soul. Keep up the good work Hilary, Leigh Ann, Marla, and Rikie. JDA
Enchanting
author: RonCan't stop listening to this enchanting music. Highly recommended.
These melodies will enrich your day and thrill your dinner guests.
author: Jim WilburnStarlight and Shadow is a wonderful collection of original and haunting melodies that make you think you're in a magic land where there is peace, even amidst angst. It's great listening for its own sake, or to create a mood to do anything you really like to do or need to do, or to have on your sound system as your guests arrive for dinner. We will definitely be hearing more about these ladies!
