Pulling influences from the likes of Ben Folds, Fiona Apple and Tori Amos, piano player/singer songwriter Shannon Corey truly reflects a beautiful new vibe of sensuous class. Originally from Providence, RI, she has been seen regularly around New York, playing at famed venues such as The Knitting Factory, The Bitter End, and the now immortalized CBGB’s. Shannon Corey’s debut album will please devotees as well as new fans. Having received the praises of fellow artists and critics alike, including being named High Times Magazine Unsigned Artist of the Week, her pop-rock-classical sound is absolutely infectious. Through her carefully layered and delicately executed stylings, the music of Unsaid, produced by Charles Newman (The Magnetic Fields, The Bowmans) of Mother West Records, tells the universal story of a young woman coming into her own, but in a way only Shannon Corey’s memorizing and haunting voice can. A classically trained pianist with skills akin to the world’s best, her captivating melodies are enhanced by the rich and vibrant rhythmic accompaniment of bass, drums, electric guitar, cello, viola and violin, all contributing to her unique sound.

    I like a broad range of music but I'm mostly into Arena/Hair bands and metal...your music is obviously very different from that but there is just something about it that makes me want to hear it over and over. I love the way your songs rise and fall with your emotions and strike my heart. You have a great future ahead of you and I wish you all the best!

    Voice of an angel, uncorrupt in it's delivery. Musical resonence pleasant and easy on the ears. A touch of rock; a touch of jazz; more than just pop. Vocal Tones are obviously trained and not obnoxiously fancy or repetative. Lyrics can be understood without over-concentration and have a logical story progression. This is true talent and not a fad as many of the "stars" appear to be.
