notes
the Runs started, legend has it, as some embarrassing echoes emanating from a basement in San Francisco. As time went on and their skills were honed, the Runs brought their pistol-whipped, drenched bass and dry guitar sound to the light of day. This is their debut album - recorded, engineered and mixed themselves. Punk DIY tackles politics, love songs and the inevitable return to biological function.
the first unofficial album review: "It's like listening to the Lookout! record that never came out, the lost tapes so to speak. It's like the singer of The Vandals and Joe Queer at times with the Queers as the backing band and Ben Weasel helping with the songwriting/arrangement. WOW." -Jonny Manak (producer at SuperSpeedway Music; git and vox in Clay Wheels, bass in The Cliftons and the Forgotten; skating legend)
from Buzzgrinder.com: "This is raw stuff... this is the way it should be."
from Neufutur.com: "...the tracks are crafted with the perfect blend of catchiness and maturity... eminently singable... a challenge to not absolutely love."

Hanson Punk
author: HemiJust kidding about the "Hanson" comment. I like the CD. It serves as a reminder that you dont have to sing gay love songs, or even sing in tune to make good music. I'm a C&W fan and this is the only non-country CD that has made it into my drive-time rotation. Nice work Runs!!
Liberace meets Mr T in a bathroom on mission
author: Sir Dick Scumlas vegas superstars The Ruins have produced what can only be described as the aural equivalent of having your arse waxed . Recorded over a period of 2 decades , it still manages to have a thrown together in a trash can silver foil ness that leaves you wondering why. The drummer is obviously the best guitarist and singer whilst the singer sounds like joey ramone meeting nick cave in a helium balloon . The bass player has attended the rick allen (def lepp) school of one string tea chest skiffle (sheffield branch). I like the cow bell and these four young lads from liverpool are predicted to shake the whole wirral.
Definitely the best one so far
author: Anna KozlovaDefinitly the best one so far. I like the added talking, it sets the tone. And...yeah, can't beat the front cover. Keep it up guys!
