Kiki Ebsen was born in Santa Monica, California into an entertainment family. She attended the California Institute of the Arts, studying voice, piano and electronic music, receiving her BFA in Music.

As a singer/keyboardist, Kiki has accompanied dozens of artists in concert, on video and television. She can be seen and heard on the new live concert DVD (BMG)"An Evening with Christopher Cross", taped at the Galaxy Theatre last year. Japanese audiences can enjoy her work on three concert videos with super pop star Namie Amuro. Kiki is also the featured singer in the soundtrack for "Bodies Rest and Motion" (Giant), starring Bridget Fonda and appeared in the 1997 Grammy Awards with Tracy Chapman. Among the other artists she has performed with are Al Jarreau, Chicago, Boz Scaggs, Belinda Carlisle, Kenny Loggins. Michael McDonald, James Ingram, Jeffrey Osborne, Dave Koz, Steven Bishop and Peter Cetera.

In 1994, Kiki released her debut album "Red" (Sindrome 8898) which showcases her textural images and haunting melodies. The singles from that album, "My Desire" and "Half a Chance" broke through the top 25 on the Gavin AC charts. Her single, "Kiss Me Again" was featured weekly in the popular Japanese drama, "Matured Kiss". Jazz stars Boney James and Eric Marienthal have covered her songs.

Kiki has done numerous performances with her own band including KKSF's Catch a Rising Star at the Mayfair in San Francisco, KIFM's Anniversary party in San Diego and the Maui Music festival.

Kiki recently completed her sophomore effort "Love Loud" (PPM 11458). The title means "to show great love and compassion in life and to share it with others". Produced with long time friend and supporter Mark Browne, Kiki enlists some very unique and gifted players to create a musical journey that is all her own. As each song unfolds, you find yourself drawn into a story that is filled with heart felt emotions. Set in earthy tones and organic surroundings, this new CD delivers her honest and original views on life and love.

Kiki's interests, besides music, are her animals and painting her animals. She is passionate about rescuing and helping abandoned animals and encourages everyone to spay and neuter their pets and to support their local no-kill animal shelters. She recently co-founded MUSIC HEALS with five other singer/songwriters including long time Pasadena resident, Debra Davis.

Music Heals is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to present music and art as a positive force for change by hosting benefit concerts and bringing festivals and celebrations to the public. Their first event, Peace Jam Camarillo, took place Saturday Sept 15th, 2001 and will be an annual event raising awareness for domestic violence and raising money for "Nicole's House," an 18-to 24-month transitional shelter for abused women and their families.

This year Peace Jam took on an even more significant role in the light of the recent terrorist attacks on New York City. As everyone attending Peace Jam stood together against violence of any kind. Kiki and Music Heals will be donating a portion of their merchandise proceeds to the Red Cross disaster fund.
