Peter Thorpe Memorial Fund's program: Free CD's for inmates

The Peter Thorpe Memorial Fund offers free CD's by Nashville Fats and various artists including these CD's available at cdbaby.com to inmates, their families, chaplains, and prison libraries and resource centers.

In two years the Peter Thorpe Memorial Fund has provided almost 500 free CD's to inmates, thier families, chaplains, prison libraries and resource centers, through PTMF's work with Chuck Colson's Prison Fellowship Ministry's newspaper to inmates, "The Inside Journal". In the begining only CD's by Nashville Fats (Peter Thorpe) were offered, but the program was so popular with inmates and chaplains, the Fund soon included CD's by other artists including Glenn Kaiser, Steve Rupe, The Blame, Michael Quest, Del Way, The General Gypsy Carns, John Called Mark, Kathy Bell, Tommy Ray O'Dell, Gary Meggs and many others. Inmates may order as many CD's as are available. CD's are ordered by genre. (Christian Blues, Christian Rock, Contemporary, and Postive Country). Sets of 12 CD's in various genres are sent to libraries and resource centers. The Peter Thorpe Memorial Fund also offers Hohner Harmonica's (with a lesson by Fats), hackey sacks, voice lessons by Nashville vocal coach Beau Sebastion, and oragmi kits to inmates.
