diRTy WoRMz were formulated, plotted and instigated in the year 2001. The band was the brainchild of Smackola and DJ Crash, hip hop artists who wanted to rock harder and louder than anything Austin, TX had ever seen. The legend began with the release of the first diRTy WORMz CD, The Infektion. Featuring an all star lineup from the local rock and hip hop communities, The Infektion was a regional best seller for years to come.

diRTy WoRMz quickly evolved into one of the most devastating live acts in Texas, leaving scores of scorched musicians in their wake. dWz was voted Austin's Best Hip Hop act two years running, won Best Urban Video for their cover of Run-DMC's "Here We Go", and the single "Top Of The Food Chain" was the year's top local request on Austin's 101X.

After mashing up and WoRMin' out the hip hop hits on The diRTy WoRMz MixXxTape, and recording the story on the DVDs The Epidemik and Tha Epidemik Viral Download One, diRTy WoRMz stands alone with their 2006 release, The Parazite. The new CD is the latest refinement of the WoRMz sound: Rap, Rock, Hip Hop like you've never heard before.

    This CD features great lyrics and showcases Smackola's rapping abilities in addition to having a pretty hard rock presence. The one drawback is that after a while, it largely starts to sound the same. Nearly all of the choruses become highly repetitive, often repeating just the same four or five words over and over and over. As good as the lyrics tend to be, I'm looking for more creativity out of the chorus.

    CD is splendid. It is exactemment the music which I like, the mixture of the rap and the rock'n'roll. In France there are only 2 or 3 groups which make this music, if not one has that tricks of old man!!! I listen to Dirty wormz everywhere and all the time, in my car, my shower...!!!     Very nice cd from beginning to end... The band was on point in every song... Smackola (Vocals) was flowing better then 90% of these rappers out there... Just wish the DJ would scratch a little more... Cd is great but seeing them LIVE is a whole nother experience.

    This album is what everyone who has done rock-rap wanted to make, hard hitting music with a true MC behind the mic. I especially enjoyed the storyline of ParaZite. Good music and interesting message. Thank you Dirty Wormz!

    CD is pretty good. I think it is one of those you have to listen to a few times before you start to love it. It isn't quite as good as the last one, though.
