"Not Feeling Quite Like Yourself Today?" is the debut CD/LP from the dark 'n' sleazy sci-fi rock 'n' roll band Clone; co-produced by Billy Anderson (Melvins, Fantomas, Neurosis, Unsane, 7 Year Bitch, Helios Creed).
Clone creates intense, dramatic song structures with combinations of crashing dissonant guitars, crunching bass, sci-fi synth, snearing operatic female vocals and tasty drum work.
Influences can be heard in predecessors like Chrome, the Birthday Party, and Big Black but Clone has a sound completely unto itself.

Clone are in the business of producing musical evils, alchohol-induced and demon possessed. This is sci-fi horror rock from the gates of hell. --Thrasher Magazine They aren't like most of the music you hear, they're like a rock opera, with the opera left in tact. Xtra's vocals are on the verge of apocalyptic, in fact. Kinda freaky. Looking for something dark and powerful, Clone may just be it. --Persygrrrl's Women in Musica "Evil," "dark" and "sleazy" are just a few of the choice adjectives that come to mind while browsing through the debut album from SF's Clone, entitled Not Felling Quite Like Yourself Today? (Evil Eye Records) and produced by Billy Anderson, who has manned the boards for the likes of the Melvins, Neurosis and Unsane. Featuring the bass playing pluck of ex-7 Year Bitch Elizabeth Davis and fronted by Xtra Schneider, the band packs a load of future-o fury; picture a sci-fi movie about killer chick robots run amok with a soundtrack by Big Black and Poly Styrene. Scary stuff! --The Rocket, Portland, OR I was assuming this was going to be a cartoony goth-horror band a la the Cramps. Not so. Clone's music is considerably darker, and more serious, than their eye for graphic design would suggest. Clone reminded me a lot of the cult NY noise rockers Live Skull, during the Thalia Zadek years. Reverb drenched guitars, deep thunderous bass rumblings, half-shout-half-groan vocals and impenetrable lyrics. I found the opener Little Black Candy and second cut Peg Leg to be intriguing numbers. I personally enjoyed (is that the right word?) this EP, and fans of dark, moodily violent guitar rock may too. --100% Independent Dark, slightly heavy, feel-bad drone punk. --Twee Kitten They have such an unusual eclectic sound! I find it so wonderfully refreshing - not only is it a mix of punk, garage, goth, and metal, but it's a successful mix of all sub genres. I loved it.
