Clay Cotton launched his pro music career in 1967 with blues legend Charlie Musslewhite, and after 20+ years at the top, in 1989 Clay recorded these amazing tracks to capture the spirit of his solo playing - And trust me: it's "Joy On Tap - Period! Piano and vocals straight from heaven..."

Then just one year later in 1990, Clay was unexpectedly stricken with Multiple Sclerosis. Ouch...

    My first auditory encounter with Clay was at an Oakland Skyline high school dance in early 1966. He had one of his Farfisa keyboard notes on long hold for "I See the Light" by I can't remember who. Later I heard him on a Hammond B2 with the Charlie Muscle White Blues Band.     I got this CD a few weeks ago and can't stop listening to it. Clay is truly an amazing musician and artist! Sheer musical genius. Each of the songs is upbeat and fun. My favorite happens to be Mardi Gras Mambo. It has a bit of a Caribbean style that I love, but every one of the songs is sure to make you smile. In addition to Clay's very talented interpretive musical style, he's got a great voice. Although Clay can no longer play like this because he has MS, he will always have a musician's heart and soul and this CD is a wonderful gift to those of us who love music. THANKS, CLAY!
