---
IMPULSE PRIME, the latest electronic offering from zircon (Andrew Aversa) begins where the successful PHASMA ELEMENTUM left off. Compared to the first, trance-oriented album, IMPULSE PRIME is a much more comprehensive, detailed, fine-tuned, and better-built musical undertaking. With a new emphasis on big beats, this album covers nearly an hour's worth of fresh new electronic material, inspired by artists like The Crystal Method, Prodigy, Infected Mushroom, and many more. Experience haunting, ethereal vocal textures, synths, and melodies meshed with massive, house-shaking drums in "Hourglass". Nod your head to pumping, aggressive rhythms accompanied by down-and-dirty guitar riffs in "Acid Dominion". Or, sit back and relax while letting the funky drum, retro synth, and EP grooves of "Endorphin" flow.
This is an album for any fans of electronic music; anyone who wants some fun, danceable, and interesting music to listen to - whether they're on the dance floor or simply unwinding after school or work. If you're looking for generic trance beats or "cutting-edge" and experimental ambient works, this ain't your CD. But if you want to get down to some truly monstrous, old-school beats combined with a vast array of acoustic, ethnic, and synthesized sounds in ways you haven't heard before, then you'd be nuts to not give this disc a shot.
So turn up your speakers or put on your headphones, close your eyes, and dive into the more enjoyable, thicker, and richer world of IMPULSE PRIME!
ABOUT THE ARTIST
--
Andrew has been working in overdrive for the last two and a half years since he began writing and producing music digitally. While classically trained as a pianist, when he realized the capabilities of 21st century music tools, he immediately set to work learning anything and everything he could. Andrew has written a wide variety of songs in many genres, with a particular focus on soundtrack work and electronic music, as well as video game arrangements such as those on OverClocked ReMix (www.ocremix.org). After releasing PHASMA ELEMENTUM in April 2004, Andrew proceeded to find work in freelance sound design and composition - recently, he has begun to move into the area of sample library development as well.
Andrew was the sole writer, producer, and engineer of IMPULSE PRIME along with all of his other work. It was created using FLStudio 5 as a host/sequencer, armed with a veritable arsenal of samples and virtual synths such as Absynth 3, Reaktor 5, fm7, Pro-53, Battery 2, Kontakt 2, and Stylus RMX, to name a few. Special attention was paid to the mastering and post-production work to ensure that all songs have a consistent volume level, dynamic range, sonic 'saturation', and balance of frequencies. All tracks were rendered from 32-bit or higher audio and dithered to CD-quality 16-bit 44.1khz to ensure the maximum amount of sound data and clarity was preserved.

Inspiring!
author: kvcomImpulse Prime has wonderfully crisp and clear sounds that excite my ears!
Quality stuff
author: Joost MaagdenbergImpuls Prime is nothing short of awesome. The beats are interesting and at the same time really get you going while the melodies have more of a chilly feel to them. So much energy and at the same time such peace, I imagine is very hard to create well.
Amazing
author: JustinThese tracks are amazing and quite honestly are as good as, if not better, than more established Electronica such as The Crystal Method. Someone sign this guy now!

This is easily the best techno CD I've ever purchased! Hard rockin' kick ass beats. Synths that twist and distort every which way into a beautiful sound. Awesome. Just awesome. Favorite cuts are Endorphin, Acid Dominion, Downtown, Tommorrow, Inferno, and Studies in Ether. Well worth the money. If you love tech, don't hesitate at all and get this CD now!
Fresh, diverse, groovy
author: AntipodeImpulse Prime has a fresh sound I haven't heard in a lot of music. Near every track had me not only impressed, but drawn in. It's fun to listen to, and it's the type of music that you're able to just kick back and listen to. If you're using this as work music, the work is the distraction. Highly recommended.
amazing!
author: cyberealityThe sound is great. I havent even finished listening to the stream and already it sounds better than half the crap I hear now-a-days. Dark, gritty synths. I love it!
ok not bad not bleak just right
author: tonithe flow keeps the music going
Nice work.
author: meccaneerPretty badass for young dude! Sounds alot like the Crystal Method. A bit simple at times and with a little chez. But, it is a solid album and entertaining for sure. I've been listening to it several times a day for about a week; it's definately worth the cash.
Solid electronic sounds.
author: SegetaI was a little shocked when I first turned it on and heard guitar, but I realised what you were doing, and in those openers, it works well. Personal favourite is Endorphin because it is so uplifting. All-round great stuff.
teh awesome
author: ServalThis album is really sweet. The beats make me want to get high on acid and dance the night away. And I don't even do drugs. Yeah. Fun time awaits you!
Another amazing work by Zircon
author: Chris McKennaZircon has certainly done an incredible job with his second cd, Impulse Prime. All of the tracks are creative and interesting, but most of all they are simply fun to listen to. I particularly liked Studies in Ether and Arsenal. I highly recommend this to both fans of the genre, and those who are just looking for some great music.
Professional-grade pulse-pounding techno
author: mDuo13Zircon has done a great job on this CD: all the tracks are solid, high-quality techno. I always love electronic music, but it can be hard to find stuff that's neither "cutting edge" strange, nor "cookie cutter" boring. With Impulse Prime, Zircon has managed to get it just right. Smooth pads, sweet synths, varied drums (not just plain loops) and stuff that actually sounds like MUSIC. My only complaint is that his melodies aren't particularly catchy or memorable. Oh, and the album art is a little too dark.
Very impressive stuff.
author: sgxExtremely solid effort. The beats are hot, the synths are slick. Very good stuff if you like Crystal Method and that sort of music. Worth the purchase.
Nice Work Mr Zircon..no less
author: DoulifeeDifferent from what i usually heard from this artist, but excellent album. i particularly love "hourglass" and "study in ether"
fantastic CD, very reminiscent of The Crystal Method
author: CypherOneI listened to a few of the tracks on lofi before choosing to buy. Since I received the CD I have listened to it several times at high volume - it's fantastic, a stunning piece of work. At times this CD is possibly guilty of being 'Crystal Method by numbers' and I felt that a few of the tracks could have benefitted from vocals, but overall I would say there are more strong, standout tracks on this CD than any one Crystal Method album. Top stuff, thoroughly recommended
Badass breaks!
author: JackSeriously, this is some of the finest electronic music around. I would recommend this to just about anyone, especially if you like breakbeat!
No cash = suck.
author: BreakbeatBeatnikAnd listening to the sample stream makes me sad because I hath not PayPal. D: Would you accept me bearing your children as payment (despite my being male)?
Excellently produced, top notch quality.
author: Crimson FoliageZircon provides substance in this new album, and provocatively captures your imagination. There is no dilution here. Each track provides a seamless rhythm of sounds not bound by any genre, yet they still hold on to the big beat. You can listen to the music with a distinguished ear, pondering the ideas put forth in the music stream, or just let your mind wander, to feel the intricate drums combined with the diverse melodies, and everything inbetween. Enjoy.

Simply put: It's Awesome!
author: Jeffrey RobertsI must say, zircon certainly impressed me with this album! I feel that this album outshines all of his previous work. I enjoyed each and every one of the tracks, my personal favorites being 'Dimension' and 'Hourglass'. zircon has established himself as a must-have artist in my book, and I definitly recommend this album to all fans of the genre. Keep up the good work, zircon; I expect great things from you!
Well-done big beat for the truly discriminating listener
author: LiontamerThe sounds of zircon's "Impulse Prime" are nothing but swanky and professional-grade. I'm a sucker for thick beats as well, so for anyone that connects with upbeat material, it's easy to put this album on and chill with it the entire way through. The tempos on each of these tracks are just right, and you'll likely find yourself wrapped up in some of the more ambient textures that can be found here, including my personal favorite of the album, "Studies in Ether". I'm a big fan of the refined approach out forth in each of these tracks. zircon doesn't have to resort to breaking my ears with volume to give me some good power in the sounds, instead relying on the well-produced presence of his instruments and his excellent grooves to carry the album and speak for themselves. As someone that owns maybe ten albums total, you can play any of the material off "Impulse Prime" and nod your head. For me, there wasn't a single lemon on the entire album. What's that mean? Gooooooooo get it!
unique and innovative, enjoyable
author: The Better MarcAndrew's electronica is easily the best to fall upon my ears since Crystal Method. Each piece is masterfully produced, taking sounds from a facet of genres and weaving them together flawlessly. Impulse Prime clearly demonstrates Andrew's skill in his field of work and how he excels in it. Far from the norm of techno/trance/electronica and the repetition in those songs, every piece has an astounding uniqueness to it. Well worth every cent used to buy it. :)

The Bomb Diggity
author: The Basket ManSome of the best techno I've heard in a while. You can listen to this cd all the way through without getting bored. It keeps your interest with a great varation of style and tempo. Zircon has done it again!
Awesome CD once again!
author: Matt PokrzywaWow... Zircon once again churns out beats so fresh. SNAP! Easily one of the swoopingest techno CD's out there, easily rivaling TCM and others! Totally worth the money.
Impulse Prime is a masterpiece.
author: MarcI know this artist personally and let me tell you, he is very passionate about his music. This cd, Impulse Prime is a clear example of the creative genious of zircon. Every track is ver different from the other, and will keep you entertained. The first track "Severe Reaction" is one of the best tracks on the entire album, along with "Hourglass", "Acid Dominion", "Beckoning", etc. If you picked up and liked zircon's first album "Phasma Elementum", you have to pick "Impulse Prime". The big beats of zircon(Andrew Aversa), will keep you rocking all day long. TWO THUMBS WAY UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
