About the Artist
Zinny J. Zan was born in Stockholm the capitol of Sweden Zinny, became well known by the Swedish people at the age of 18 when his first band Easy Action toured Scandinavia and signed a contract with Warner Bros. Sweden had bands like Abba at that time so this was something new and the gigs were chaotic everywhere they went. After 2 years of touring Scandinavia, Zinny wanted to hit the U.S but the band hesitated so Zinny quit to go and form a new band. Easy Action did 1 album with Zinny and a horror movie called "Blood Tracks" which Zinny also starred in and wrote the music for.
Later that year Zinny got contacted by a music mag who said that a band had called them and wanted to track Zinny down. That band was Shotgun Messiah. Zinny recorded the album and went straight to L.A with the album to shop for a deal, it took 12 days. Shotgun Messiah re-located to Hollywood CA and started to tour around the U.S. While touring, differences of opinions between Harry ,Tim and Zinny started to grow bigger which later lead to Zinny 's departure from Shotgun Messiah. After the split Zinny went back to his home turf in Stockholm to think about his future and start fresh.
With something new around 1991-1992. But due to a number of reasons in his personal life (his father died, his sister was diagnosed with cancer, Zinny caught a rare stomach disease that kept him in and out of hospitals for 2 years as well as an ugly divorce) Zinny, only released one album during this time. The album was "Citizens of Wasteland" which he recorded in 1994 with his band Zan Clan.
For the first time now Zinny J. Zan is solo and ready to step back into the Rock N´ Roll rodeo again with his 1st solo album "City Boy Blues" for FastLane Records. Special guest on the record include Stixx (ex-Shotgun Messiah), Kee Marcello (ex-Easy Action, Europe), and Mickey Dee from Motorhead.
