notes
Dear Music-lover,
When You Least Expect It is, in a way, a slice of life. I write about what is vivid and meaningful to me: hope for love, life's questions, spiritual vision, appreciation, and the delicious release of a good laugh. And while it's my "life-slice," so many people tell me I write and sing about things they have pondered and wondered and longed for. Perhaps you'll find that, too.
I hope at least one song will feel like it was meant for you. Let me know.

Song Notes
The songs are written in a variety of styles and colors:
"When You Least Expect It" − so many people say that to me, I felt it was a signal.
"Too Soon to Tell" − all the things you wonder "at the beginning."
"I Wanna Be Wooed" − let's just say, it seems to have struck a universal chord!
"When Do You Try" − I keep wrestling with this.
"What Is Love, After All" − "all my talk of love and how it ought to be − what do I know?!"
"You're Always There for Me" − play it for your Mom on Mother's Day, or for your Dad, or whomever that special person is for you.
"Taillights" − when they leave, that's what you see in the dark.
"Again" − for soulmates.
"Valse Nasale" − my salute to vanity.
"What If" − Seat of the Soul in a song and in my heart
"You'll Be Here" − when that time comes.
"With Me" − born from Sept. 11, a tribute to Julie and Jonathan and their love.

Marilyn writes great intrsopective songs & sings them with passion
author: Mark GavoorI truly enjoyed listening to this CD. I liked the fun songs like Valse Nasale and Taillights. I loved I Want to be Wooed, When you Least Expect It, and With Me You'll Be Here. The lyrics are introspective and meaningful. With only voice and piano, there is a full sound. The piano is delightful. Marilyn's voice is rich and expressive. She covers many styles, moods and rhythms most adroitly.
