Youssef Boutros the adorer of the violin, is a Nostalgic Egyptian who considers himself very lucky to have lived his youth in Egypt during the era of Abdel Wahab, Om Kolthoum and Abdel Halim Hafez.
My love to music in general and specifically to the violin has fortunately availed a great opportunity for me to join the number 1 band at the time that played with almost all the renowned singers. I am therefore honored to have played with Abdel Halim Hafez, Riad El Sonbati, Laila Mourad and many others.
After living in the United States for over 36 years, during which time I formed a band and continued to play Arabic music in several places, I was always approached by Americans commending me on my music and asking me if I had a CD.
On the other hand, every time I missed home, family or friends I simply listened to the good old tapes and found myself floating in the sky.
This is when the idea of this CD came to my mind with the hope that it will help any Arab living outside his home to feel the same way listening to this CD in which I am playing the words on the violin to a selection of 8 different Egyptian songs and one Lebanese.

Heart & soul moving. Not only nostalgic, but purely atistic
author: suzan khaterThis muzic played so beautisully on this cd, could be nostalgic to many Middle-Easteren listeners, but it is lovely and enchanting for any listener and also agreat introduction for those who would like to join in the happiness and deep appreciation of muzic at its best from any parto of the world. We are waiting for the new album. Thank you for bringing some pure joy into our lives
