notes
Yiling Huang's secend album " Somewhere in Time" continues her unique ability to create classically influenced solo piano compositions that moves the listener into a state of serenity and wonder
Spending time in nature has always been the source of my inspiration and it helps me to disconnect from the hectic, complicated world we all face every day. It clears my mind, restores simplicity and bring healing . It has also transformed my understanding how we should live on this earth. I have learned what is important is not just what we can see with our eyes . When we look inward , we begin to understand ourselves and to love ourselves and this brings health , peace , and fulfillment to our inner lives .
Let nature be our mentor. Embrace its power, beauty, wisdom, and imagination.

Truly Amazing
author: Shawn TAll music in the CD are easy to listen to. Some mixed with the sound of nature. It is not just music you listen to, but also a sense of nature, seasons changing, life experience, happiness, spiritual, and much more. Each time I listened to them, I always picked up something new. It is a must collection if you love music :)
More than great music
author: Diego RuedaIts easier for me to talk about Yiling than strictly about her music. I am no "expert" in music. She is humble, she plays herself down, reminding me all the time, she's just another human being, a mother, a pianist, composer, a devoted teacher, a good neighbor, an advocate for Mother Earth... I beg to differ! I am "biased" by decades of life experience; of trailing and sailing the sea of humanity; and I am constantly AMAZED by this soul, What a gifted one! She sublimated the salt of her tears onto nectar, that touches and spreads trough every soul within reach, as it travels the sound spectrum. Out of life's adversity she emerged divine and winged. She channels the beauty of nature, to the best of human nature. She is -and doesn't know it- a "Medicine woman" in her own right, because the sounds, the images, the journeys, the effects emanating off her piano, trough those hands raptured by love, those fingers possessed by light; take one's soul on paths that leave no realm untouched. Some may bring tears to one's eyes -of joy- others, visions of deep canyons, scents of the evergreen on pristine forests, the wonder of a child eyes before God's creation, healing waters as they run to the ocean, prisms of sunlight condensed on drops of dew, as they warm on a blade of grass. You will be at times winged, soaring with eagles, and then gallop full force with the wild mustangs. You will be deeply rooted and bark will be your skin, as you are turned into an ancient tree, caressed by the wind and the passage of time. Longings, lovers tenderness, deep palettes of every human emotion. No human sense would be spared by this majestic channel of pure, touching, healing, humbling, love..... The notes of her melodies are written on granite, water, rain, lava, wind, rainbows, and every existing shade of color, as the Earth Mother turns around the father sun. The result is beautiful medicine...peace... passion at its best dimension! Labeling her magic solely "Music" in my opinion is not rendering tribute to the whole majesty of Life and beauty condensed on this CD medium. I repeat: I am no expert in music. I could only express -from a place of heart- what the melodies do to my body, mind and soul. I feel alive, blessed, healed, touched by a charmed journey every time I hear them. And I am grateful to the Creator for allowing messenger Spirits like Yiling's to walk this Earth. Diego C. Rueda Photographer Springfield, Oregon
Blows My Mind...
author: Roger RessmeyerYiling's compositions and performance on this album are simply stunning; even my 4 and 9 year old children, who usually prefer AC/DC or Led Zeppelin, are mesmerized by these soulful and emotionally intense melodies. Yiling must have an incredibly beautiful soul; many thanks to my good friend who suggested I give this CD a spin -- what a wonderful surprise it has been! Yiling, wherever and whoever you are, please keep it up! Roger Ressmeyer www.ressmeyer.com

author: jerry DavisI listened to Yiling's music, for Somewhere in Time, before we took the pictures. I listened to it while I was editing and finishing the photos. I still listen to it, often, while I work. I find Yiling's compositions and performance to be both soothing and stimulating, at the same time. In the middle of the deadline centered life I lead, it helps connect me back to nature, my roots, and what really matters. Thank you for your sensitivities to the natural world in which we live. I want to hear more.

Heartfelt Performance of Beautiful, Intelligent, Moving, Cinematic Compositions
author: Marc SchmitzThis album can move one very deeply. In general, song titles and actual music don't always connect, BUT on this album the song titles are the doorway to step into the wondrous world of these compositions inspired by Nature. As a jazz musician/composer myself who has always enjoyed Keith Jarrett's romantic solo piano, i get the same romantiscm in Yiling's playing. Strong left hand and nimble right hand. Delicacy and urgency. Peacefulness and fierceness. I can soar in the sky with "Dreams of the Eagles", be one of the wild horses galloping in freedom in "Wild Horses - Spirit of Truth", feel the happiness as the birthing cycle begins again in "The Return of Spring", feel the gentle pride/love and fiery protectiveness of the "Mother Wolf", feel as one of the 2 lovers/soul mates swaying in each other's arms, gazing in each other's eyes in "Eternal Embrace", enjoy being with myself in "Solitude". Please listen to this CD. It never grows old. It is always fresh. There is always something new to discern/hear. You will find your own soul here. This is intelligent music performed exquisitely by a master pianist. Buy this CD!!!

These 13 songs are all about nature and one of my favorite is Falling Leaves, I feel like this song is really leaves are falling. A Powerful and Beautiful Musical Journey Through Nature
author: DWilliamsSomewhere In Time takes us on a musical journey...using nature to offer inspiration and to evoke beautiful imagery. Like nature, the songs are dynamic...at once powerful as the wind...and then as gentle and light as a falling leaf. Nature's force and tranquility exquisitely come to life through Yiling's music...bursting forth like a wonderful Spring day...filled with hope and potential. I love this CD!!
A wonderful second album
author: Paul SpeerYiling's extensive classical training is evident throughout this CD as well as her first album. She can masterfully expand on her classical roots to create modern compositions that are unique. I worked on both albums but even so, I am a fan of her music.
