Fashioned in the spring of 2002, Yamama'Nym quickly claimed the distinction of being not just another Soul band in the Baltimore/Washington DC music scene, but being one of its most promising best live acts, period. Combining sultry soulful sounds with a touch of Jazz, a hint of soul, and a twist of divinity; Yamama'Nym is definitely headed in the right direction. With three exceptionally vibrant vocalists, a DJ, and perhaps some of the best live musicians in all the land, Yamama'Nym evoke feelings of nostalgia with their youthful appearance,yet seasoned performance, often being compared to acts of old and new. Over the past year, they have played on many stages and have left their signature "Soulful" style to keep on with unsuspecting audiences leaving them yearning more. With solid reviews of major shows at Bar Nun for WKYS, Le Bar Bat for WBLS, and The Black Family Reunion to name a few, Yamama'Nym has already been endorsed as a viable candidate for international success. Up and down the East Coast, they average a consistent amount of shows a year, and continue to sell out each and every home appearance.

Yamama'Nym's highly anticipated first album "2:00 AM" has drawn from the band's strengths of Soul, R&B, Jazz and Hip Hop to help drive their musical vision to a broader audience.With recording and mixing done by producer extraordinaire Tre Barr at Outta Control Studios, the release presents the group's ripe, cultured, and straightforward songwriting skills and give them a catalyst to the day when they will bridge the gap between their successful East Coast tours and widen their national and international exposure.

    i heard this group live! i was broke and couldn't purchase the cd then but i was sure to go and purchase it. i listened to it for about a week straight. i must say that they are a breath of fresh air after listening to all that drop it like its hot and rolling on twtenties crap.

    I was passed this CD from a friend of a friend who knew I was a keyboardist. I thought to myself where have yall been. This is the most creative and well produce music Ive heard in a long time. Its been a week and it hasnt stop playing yet. Im recommending it to everyone I know. Thank for sticking with it I konw it wasnt easy but the work is greatness.

    Completely orginal work with many highlights throughout the CD, you won't be disappointed with this purchase. impressive vocals (especially the first vocalist in the track you can listen to called "You Still Are"). If you ever get the chance to see YaMamaNym live, do it, as good as this CD is, there live perfomances are off the chart.

    Since the first day I popped 2:00am into my CD player, it's been inside spinning away. During those times when it's not playing, believe me it's not too far away from being put back in. I often find myself humming melodies and then realize that it's Yamaman'Nym's, then of course I have to go listen to it. This is what I've been waiting for, Good Music is back.
