Wrembel’s band always generates great enthusiasm and excitement among the different crowds.
"When French musician Stephane Wrembel picks up a guitar and jams out one of his dizzying gypsy jazz tunes his left hand dances over the neck of the instrument and his right hand strums furiously over the strings. The notes are clear, but the hands are a blur. He's that fast.
Now he's twisting tradition by pulling in African, Cuban and rock rhythms to create a sound he calls 'gypsy jam'. - Lauren Johnston, amNewYork -

Introducing Stephane Wrembel
author: J-L CarbonnierWonderful. Indispensable. Stephane is among the very best of Django's children, and his repertoire goes much beyond.

author: Rob DI've been waiting for Stephane's CD and I am not disappointed. The joy in the music lifts me from any bad mood and my feet won't sit still as long as he is playing. What a treat to have these classics with a new twist. Can't wait for more of Stephane's interpretations to be put down on CD.

I was playing with Stephane when i was 17 in France. He was magic he is magic... He ll stay in the history of jazz.
Magical!
author: NevadaBabeSaw Stephane's trio in NYC in April and bought his latest CD - yet to be released in the marketplace. Had to come home and buy the original too. This man is remarkable! I told him that it is obvious he loves the guitar and thanked him profusely for sharing that love with his audience. As long as he keeps recording music, I will buy it. I just wish he and his group would come to Reno so I can witness his talents again!
great
author: MourijnI am always on the look out for gypsy music and when Nic Askew mentioned Stephane I was very pleased to find some great music. Keep up the independent distribution!
is so good I use it on my films
author: Nic AskewStephane's music is so alive that I use it in many of my films (www.monday9am.tv). Second album out soon I believe.
Transforms music into a spiritual experience!
author: Rabbi DavidStephane Wrembel is visiting us from some other universe – the realm where spirit meets the physical world. His first CD is great, extraordinary, beyond words. I'm a rabbi who used to be a jazz concert producer – Wremble makes me want to produce concerts again just so I can hear him live again! Instead I'll just davven to the CD!
Awesome. A Must-Have for Django Fans.
author: Eric WLoved it from day 1 when I saw these guys play live at Barbes in Brooklyn, NY. Anyone who likes Django willl love this rendition of some of the classics. Also, Stephan is one of the most amazing guitarists - ever. The only complaint I have is that CD#2 isn't out yet. Buy this record.
Great new spin on the classics
author: RomanosThis is the only Stephane Wrembel CD I've heard, but it's already a centerpiece in my collection. Wrembel has a truly original take on many favorite jazz standards, as well as some I've never heard. Though this is his first release, his skill and heart on the album instantly bring the great gypsy guitarists to mind. A few of the tracks seem a bit overcooked, but this is one artist we should all be keeping our eyes on.
