notes

“Wotlie. Style, humour, the wit that's needed to be a really massive pop star, Wotlie has all of this in spades.” www.karmadownload.com

A British musician/vocalist & producer, Wotlie makes “glitchpop”, electro glitches mixed up with pop punk funk rock house alternative.

In 2006 he released his debut EVERYONESADEEJAY. Written, performed and produced by Wotlie, the CD sold wicked numbers on the back of a strong DJ support (the title track still making several big-name Japanese club Djs charts), radio rotation (on Japanese stations LOVE FM, FM AICHI, TOYAMA FM, KYUSHU KOKUSAI FM NATIONAL RADIO, FM NAGASAKI). Sales were boosted thru the appearance of the title track of the album in a TV commercial for a Japanese department store chain, EST.

Currently Wotlie can be found playing heavy rock with his band (The Dirty T’s) or in the nightclubs of Tokyo alongside Hisashi T playing a DJ/electro/punk/harmonica mash up explosion. Resident performer at the punk disco event “London Calling” (www.london-calling.jp), demand is booming as far a field as Europe, Singapore and Australia for his eclectic electro live shows. Wotlie’s list of production credits continues to grow (the debut release by Japanese indy diva Hanzawa Tomoko on BEAMS RECORDS, and several house remixes on Delicious Garden Records (Germany))… Most recently his work has appeared in several Konami video games, most notably Winning Eleven 2008 (a.k.a Pro Evolution Soccer), and his vocals will appear shortly in several other games by different makers…. Early 2008 looks forward to an Australia tour in support of the Dirty T’s debut, followed by electro performances all over Asia with Hisashi T.
