Album Notes

Derived from the slang term for focused attention to one's musical skills and goals, Woodshed's name speaks strongly of the band's aspirations and achievements. The music is fresh but mature, hard-hitting but empathetic. In short, it has broad appeal without succumbing to trendiness. Woodshed has been described as Blues, Rock and Roll, and psychedelic. At moments they are all of these things, but each time it seems they have fallen into an easily definable category they play another song that displays a completely new facet of their style and range. Truly they are a throwback to what rock used to be, powerful, alive and transcendental. Woodshed was formed with its current line-up in 1992, although three of the members have been together since their school days in Washington State. The band members now reside in the Southern California area where they pursue their love of music and hone their musical style and skills.
