notes
Hi there !
My name is Paul Woodhead and I am yet another singer / songwriter as well as an entertainer (ie I entertain for a living).
I play keyboard, guitar, mandolin, banjolele, ukelele (ukulele), Q digital guitar, spoons, bones, harmonica and anything else that makes an easy and pleasant noise!
I entertain for societies, retirement & nursing homes, hospitals, pensioners groups, churches, clubs, travel companies and holiday establishments etc.
I play on holiday in Tenerife and with fellow musicians have played in The Netherlands, Flanders, Normandy, Eire, Cyprus and the Isle of Man. With the George Formby Society I have regularly played at the Blackpool Winter Gardens, nightclubs, clubs, theatres and charity street busking.
I hope you dip into my music & like what you hear. There's all sorts here - novelty songs (fish & chips, Lambretta scooters, Tonga, mid life crises, ukuleles) & serious songs (terrorism, parenting, old age, terminal illness). In the middle, there are songs about love, my local steam railway, our dreams , our hopes & our aspirations.
I wrote all these songs except "There Was A Time" which is a poem by Mike Rafferty of Cheltenham. I arranged all the music and play it too. The next issue to cdBaby will be another original this time of Mike Rafferty poems with my arrangements & performing.
I have been a singer / songwriter for years but this is my first attempt to get some of it down on CD - there is lots more to come.
Please give me some feedback when you have had a listen and for those who do listen - thanks.
For those who buy - many thanks.
Only by encouraging us "unsigned" arists will music remain fresh, new and innovative. Thanks to cdBaby for enabling artists like me to showcase their products to a worldwide audience.
