In 2007, Jabe Beyer won the BMI Music Maker Songwriting Competition and was nominated for two Boston Music Awards as well as a nomination in the WFNX Best Music Poll. His namesake band, JABE, won the Abe Oleman Songwriting Award from The Songwriting Hall of Fame as well as Boston Music Awards. Four self-produced, self-released albums along with extensive U.S. and European tours earned JABE a reputation as one of Boston's best and hardest working live acts. The Boston Globe hailed JABE as "a leader in the roots music renaissance," and Jam Magazine listed the 2-disc album 'Drama City' at Number 2 in their Best 100 Albums of The Last 10 Years. Beyer's side project, The Benders, bloomed into alt-country-bluegrass favorites, embraced nationally by the press and a hardcore fanbase. He has also worked as a sideman guitarist and keyboard player, touring & performing with Kris Delmhorst, Todd Thibaud, Dennis Brennan, Sarah Borges & The Broken Singles, Nini Camps, Bow Thayer, Deb Talan, Richard Davies, and others. He has produced albums by The Cassavettes, Tim Gearan, The Chip Smith Project, & Kelleigh Bannen, and has appeared on albums by such artists as Kris Delmhorst, Sarah Borges & The Broken Singles, Dennis Brennan, Kelleigh Bannen, Jimmy Ryan, The Resophonics, Bow Thayer, Todd Thibaud, Scissorfight, Tim Gearan, Bang Camaro, Session Americana, The Chip Smith Project, Jon Nolan, Sticky, Jeff Klein, Richard Davies, David Rovics and others. Now living in Nashville Tennessee, Beyer's new band is The All Night Circus, named after his brain. Before his move to Nashville he wrote & recorded the album "Rocket Surgery" in one week.
