notes

Brent Woodall has been singing since he was 3, he's finally GOT IT! In the tradition of Little Feat, CSNY and Restless Heart with some Memphis Soul thrown in. POWERFUL and SCHWEET! A REAL SINGER. One can actually understand the lyrics! His roots are in soul, rock and roll and country. He weaves these together in a tapestry of fun; you can feel it in the music!

Brent and his band have opened for many major artists in recent years including:

Sawyer Brown, (3) Montgomery Gentry (2), Trace Adkins, LoneStar, (2) The Kinleys, The Wilkinsons, Jo Dee Messina, Riccocet (3) Phil Vassar, Linda Davis, Lee Greenwood, (2) Chad Brock, Diamond Rio, Kevin Sharp, (2) Doug Stone, Anita Cochran, Gene Watson, Dan Akroyd, Neal McCoy, Chely Wright, to name a few.

Major Venue Appearances: Farm Aid 2000 / Nissan Pavillion, Bristow, VA, Rocky Gap Festival, Cumberland, MD, Pagent of Peace / The White House, Washington, DC 1998, 1999, 2000 Belle Chere Festival / Ashville, NC. Springfest and Sunfest Ocean City, MD 1999,2000,2001,2002 Ernest Tubb Midnight Jamboree/WSM Radio, Nashville, TN, 35th Annual International Fan Club Organization Fun Fest at the Ryman Auditorium, Nashville, TN with 13 other national artists including John Berry, Ty Herndon, Jamie O'Neal, Tommy Shane Steiner, Linda Davis, Billy Hoffman, Joe and Tony Stampley, Andy Griggs and Gary Morris, David Ball, Clarke Family Experience and Jeff Carson. Go to IFCO.org/events for more on the show. A photo of Brent with Billy Hoffman, Joe Stampley and Ty Herndon appears in the July - August edition of CMA's CLOSE UP magazine at the Ryman rehearsal. A review of the show in Country Weekly (July 2002) noted that "The people on the show can really, really sing and need no enhancement, electronic or otherwise"

Brent's projects Include Cabin Fever Cd / 1997 (self Produced), On the Edge/ 1999 Larry Butler, Producer. Out With The Old/ 2001 Joe Bob Barnhill, producer

Out With The Old (title cut) was penned by Sawyer Brown Founder and lead vocalist Mark A. Miller. Mark also gave Brent "Honestly" for the project, a beautiful ballad. Other prolific contributors are Steve Wariner, Wayne Perry, Joe Barnhill, Van Morrison and originals by Woodall and the band. A review of the project by Mind candy Music magazine stated that Van Morrison's Bright Side of the Road sounds as if it were written for Brent Woodall's voice! This is not a "one hit CD" It rocks, it purrs, it never gets boring and it has such depth and emotion. Not a bad cut on the project. The single "Who Cares" was released nation-wide on CDX #292 with Toby Keith's "Courtesy of The Red White and Blue" so it has gotten the attention of program directors across the country and is currently in rotation in over 200 cities. Reknown critic, author and historian Robert K. Oermann gave "Who Cares" an HONORABLE MENTION in MUSIC ROW MAGAZINE July 2002. This is Woodall's second honorable mention from Mr. Oermann, who is known to be very tough! We'll take that!

Live the band shines! Melodic vocals, Tim Tanner's sweet PRS guitar work, Ken Johnson's rock-solid bass, Tramonte's Sweet keys, and Jay Bond's creative percussion. Talk about your evolution!
YOU NEED THIS CD! We need to make another! It's a win - win I tell YA
Don't Miss NTB LIVE!
Two new projects are underway. "It's All In Your Hands", new material. The title cut written by Thom Shepherd writer of (Riding With Private Mallone, Red Neck Yacht Club) and "On Top of the Covers", a compilation of cover songs that Brent has recorded over the years AND a new cover CD that contains songs Brent has always wanted to record. Look for them in the spring.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled program.....
