notes
This award winning band has been rockin' the Dallas/Fort Worth music scene with their driving progressive country sound for several years now. Enlisting the producing talents of Jeff Sturms, currently a member of George Strait's "Ace In The Hole" band and some of Nashville's top writers, the band's self titled debut CD is musically diverse and is a clear reflection of the band's incredible vocals, harmonies, and musicianship. This album truly offers something for everyone. The hauntingly beautiful love ballads "Oh Me Of Little Faith" and "Somewhere I Wanna Go" showcases the band's true talents. The most requested song that the band plays live is a fun, catchy tune "I Didn't I Swear" while "Goin' To A Fire" is a rocking favorite of many W.O.N. fans. The songs on this album were selectively chosen and have a great deal of meaning to the band. This CD is for everyone who enjoys traditional to contempoary pop country. West of Nowhere is progressive country with an edge and will have you listening to the CD again and again.

author: PaulaAwesome CD. I judge music by lyrics, beat, & can I dance to it. This CD gets a 5 in all categories.
Tasteful Tunes
author: BennyJust surfin and listened to the clips.Good work guys, especially liked "Somewhere I wanna go". Better than alot of the so called "Texas Country" stuff coming out of Texas these days.
One of the best Country groups I've heard!!
author: Doug Morris, Founder, Indie Music Appreciation GroupBoy, am I ever glad that Jon and Greg contacted me and asked that I check out their group! These fellas have been playing together for years and are very well known around the Dallas area, and I dare say, any other venue they've ever played. For my readers, I can promise you that these six young men have really got all their stuff in one bag. They've played together long enough to develop that inner sense of what each of the others are going to do and that it allows them to play off each other and entertain their audiences with a sound that is so good that it's a wonder their mantle isn't already covered with CMA awards. There are 11 tracks on the album. There are 11 really fine songs on the album. Jon Beaumont wrote "Too Many Irons" but the rest of the songs were written by a collection of great songwriters, most of whom are well known in Nashville. I am putting 7 of these 11 tracks on my Favorite Indie Songs list. They are "Oh Me Of Little Faith", "Heavy Rain", "Somewhere I Wanna Go", "Where Her Memory Lives", "Get Right", "Even When It Rains" & "Goin To A Fire." I came very close to adding "Too Many Irons" to that list too. That's a very good percentage to make the list, especially for a first album! It's also worthwhile to point out that the whole album is so good that I'm adding it to my "Essential Indie Albums" list, and that is a very exclusive list indeed, but this album deserves a spot there. I would highly recommend this album to any fan of contemporary country music. Read the full review on my web site.
Awesome Band - great live performances/incredible CD!
author: CindyThe CD was well worth the wait - beautiful vocals, awesome guitar, steel guitar, drum and keyboard playing. I can't get enough listening to the 11 songs over and over - hope the next one is even longer!!
I have honestly played this CD everyday since I bought it!
author: Teresa BirdThis group is one that is made up of so much talent! Every song is great, my favorites are "Get Right" and "Where Her Memory Lives"...heck they are all my favorite. It's great when you have trouble picking the one you like best-with this CD you never have to skip through any song to get to one that you want to sing along to. Can't wait to hear what comes next.
A must have for any country music fan!
author: Janice WilliamsIf you like country music even just a little, this CD will definately make you listen. There isn't a single bad song on the whole CD and I end up listening to it over and over again. Definately radio quality and as good as any you'll hear out there.

- author: Dave Schmidt Super Top 10 Review
Dave Schmidt review of W.O.N. Just previewed the self titled cd of West of Nowhere and it is as good as anything you will hear on any country station. The number one cut was my favorite, and it has in my mind star potential. This group just needs the opportunity to take the next step to stardom.
11 solid Hits in a row

AWESOME- Next BIG ticket in country
author: Kim E.Great groove, harmonies and AWESOME songs. My personal favorite is Get Right, then Goin to a Fire. BUT they are all wonderful, solid quality. Too Many Irons describes my life! The best part is the LIVE performance is as wonderful as the CD!
Saw them live in Dallas, bought the CD immediately
author: Kevin FlukeI'm not much into country music, but this CD isn't twangy, crying in your beer songs. Just good music!!! Easy to listen to.
WOW, that's the best way to describe West of Nowhere!
author: AnnaThe songs on this CD are VERY catchy, you will want to sing along from the very first listen. The CD goes from "I didn't I Swear" which is witty and fun to "Even When It Rains" which is beautiful and sentimental. The talent displayed in the music, lead and back up vocals are fantastic.
Excellent Great Sound, Great blend
author: ChuckBeware, this isnt your typical country sound, its far better! ALL 11 songs have the ability to be a chart topper, not just the usual 1 or 2 you usually get off a cd.. a great buy for sure..ENJOY !
Heard this band at New Orleans Hard Rock Cafe
author: DianneWOW! Uncle Buck the twinns and I were recently at the Hard Rock Cafe New Orleans and heard something totally different coming from upstairs,it was County Music! Great Music with a little different sound than the typical Top 40 Sound. I would reccomend it to anyone looking for something refreashing!
Superb Talent. Energetic sound that makes you want to hit replay
author: Cheri' ChandlerThis band is definitely going places, straight to the top! West Of Nowhere's CD has the professional, talented sound we've all been anxious to hear. I know I speak for everybody when I say that it's only a matter of time before we're hearing their songs over the radio. Great Job! Keep up the good work!
A true up and coming band to watch in the making
author: KristyThis band has been popular in the Dallas/Ft Worth area for good reason. This album is just a small sample of their talent. I didn't I swear, shows the whimsical and fun side of the band. Let me be the man in your life, will have all the ladies saying YES. Where her memory lives, is a great song that most of us can relate to and perfect for radio.
