Mike Stein, 27, is the son of a riverboat gambler and part-time dart champion who spent much of his early years working a variety of odd jobs: loading cargo off of trucks, rudimentary air conditioning repair, and making soap.
At the age of sixteen, Mike was presented with a rare 1940 Gibson J-55 acoustic guitar, which his father had accepted as payment amid a week-long blackjack binge. The guitar was subsequently destroyed in a deadly warehouse fire whose origins remain unknown to this day.
Today, Stein teaches English at Herricks High School in New Hyde Park, New York. He plays guitar, blows a harmonica, and sings with the alt-country duo, wolfeboro.

The more I listen, the more I like
author: Rob Galanakis
Very folksy and easy sounding (reminds me of a folk rock Weezer?), but disappointed at its short length. The more I listen to it, the more I like it (probably because the lyrics are so good). Great voice, and phenomonal mandolin, I highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys classic/folk rock as well as indy/alt rock.
