  • You'll Never Regret Buying Justin Roberts!
    author: Wendy Burks

This is an awesome, catchy album just like every other Justin Roberts album!! He is so consistent in his catchy lyrics and enjoyable music for both children and adults alike. There's something for everyone!!

  • Why Not Sea Monsters? Songs from the New Testament
    author: Jeff Roberts

My twin three-year olds listen to Justin Roberts daily. They can sing the entire lyrics to some of the songs. His music, uplifting and humorous, has enabled my family to draw closer to Jesus, better appreciate our faith, and sparked us to read the Bible more often. We've introduced his music to others in the family and encouraged Christian book stores to carry his music. Jeff Roberts

  • Why Not Sea Monsters, Songs From the NT

I have been in children's ministries for 15 years and I love the material that Justin has written so much that I now use many of the songs from this CD....Thanks.......Harry

  • excellent dance music with educational lyrics
    author: Kirsten Howard

We love this album! Recommended by our friend, we have now shared it with two others and will continue to pass it along.

  • Brilliant, entertaining, educational
    author: Lara

We love this set of bible music CDs so much that I give them for every christening, confirmation, etc. I even give them for birthdays. My father-in-law is a pastor and loves that I found these CDs, because before them I was clueless about the bible. Now I actually know the bible stories he talks about. He loved the CDs so much, he ordered copies for himself (because we listen to ours every day, so couldn't part with ours even long enough to wait for another shipment!). Brilliant and funny, these are our favorite CDs, as are all of Justin Roberts' CDs!

  • my fav kids music
    author: tracy

Sometimes when the kids are in bed but the CD is still in the changer and comes on, I actually leave it on to listen to...even with NO kids in sight. THAT'S a good kids CD...

  • excellent!!!! Please make more Bible stories music!!!!
    author: Jennifer

I loved it - the whole thing. And my kids do to. How rare it is to find excellent Bible story music for kids and adults. Catchy tunes and a fun way to teach kids the stories of the faith. Please make more music. You all are great!!!!

  • Fantastic CD
    author: Jason Rummel

As usual, Justin has a way with lyrics that make absolutely brilliant lines seem like, "why didn't anyone think of that before?" The funniest line on the CD is from the song about Jesus multiplying the loaves and fish and says, "I have to tell the bad news to the Good News!" The songs are a mix of cleverness, good humor, and worship. This is a great CD and the Old Testament one is even better. Buy both!

  • Son loves it - trumped Disney CD
    author: Will T

This is a great CD, though the old testament CD is a bit better. It's funny and has opened some interesting discussion with my 4 year old son. Further, it's the first CD that he'll go to sleep to after he latched onto a Disney CD he listened to for the past couple of years. Mom and dad enjoy it too, as does his 2 year old sister!

  • Jesus and JR are rocking the house!
    author: Marie - Morgan's Mom

I can't tell you how much my son loves this CD. Throughout the day, I will hear him sing, acapella, each and every one of these songs at least 3 times through. That's a minimum of 36 times a day. If Justin Roberts wasn't already a big part of our life, he most certainly is now. Favorites - really all of them, but if I were to choose I'd say: Bigger Fish, Loaves Of Bread, Walking On The Lake (THE best! Even my husband got a kick out of this song), Not Today (Morgan's all-time favorite JR song) and Shh Shh Shh. Morgan is working on playing (okay, he only knows one chord on the guitar) and singing "Not Today" for his next singing class. Great stuff!

  • Essential for church nursery music collection
    author: Lutheran Mom

I searched these out after hearing Shh Shh Shh and Rub a Dub on Splash-Totally Toddler Tunes. I consider both of these volumes as essential in our church nursery. My toddler loves them and so do I. But I must be honest, the voice and style does get a little monotonous after all those tracks. That's why I did not give 5 stars. I guess I have to play something in between to mix it up a bit. Overall though, I enjoy it so much I'd like to buy some of Justin's secular CDs too.

  • Not your grandparents' hymns
    author: Katy L

As an ordained minister in a progressive Christian denomination and mother of two, I often find that popular Christian music for kids is badly done or musically banal. These cds are not. They're right on for biblical accuracy, as well as fun, accessible, and terrific for conversations with my daughters about the Big Picture, and a theology of love. We especially enjoy On the First Day, Nothing Much in Tarshish, Where Were You on the Hebrew Scriptures cd, and Walking on a Lake, What's He Doing Up There, Five Loaves, and Is it You? from the New Testament cd (note the last line in Five Loaves: "Somehow on earth we got all the people fed." That's a mini-sermon right there!). We are using this in our Sunday School class next year, and I'm telling as many of my colleagues and churchy friends I can about them! REALLY appreciate the guitar chords and lyrics included in the cd case.

  • fun! FUN! religious music for kids!
    author: Susan

We are having so much fun with these fun, catchy songs! My 3 year old sings the lyrics on his own while playing by himself. We are enjoying both Why Not Sea Monsters? CDs so much that we purchased them as first communion gifts for two cousins. Keep it up!

  • Great music for the whole family!
    author: Jessica Birmingham

We love this CD. Great songs with a great message. I wish there was more Christian music for kids like this. It's wonderful. Thanks so much

  • A must have (and the kids'll like it too)
    author: Scott

My 18-mo-old loves "Walkin' On The Lake." It puts him into a funky little dance somewhere between "white-man's-overbite" and a seizure. It's a complete riot and puts us all into a great mood before we tackle picking up all the toys! Get it!

  • We Love Justin!
author: Eric & Kelly in Eau Claire

So far, we have the New Testament version and love it. We donated a copy to our church's preschool as well (love that discount for multiple copies). We'd strongly recommend ALL of Justin's music. It's so refreshing to listen to truly GOOD MUSIC as a family that doesn't involve midriff-baring preteens or sound like chipmunks. Hooray for this venture into Bible stories!

  • Even better than the Hebrew scriptures!
author: Heidi from the Sunset Coast

I'm a grown-up and I loved it. My kids were singing the songs after the first listen. Thanks for intelligent, musical and witty songs.

  • Love this CD and my 3 year old does too!
    author: Haven

    Amazing Lyrics and Super Fun!!!

  • This CD is worth every penny.... and so much more!
    author: Suzanne Thomas

I cannot thank Justin and Liam enough for making these "Why not Sea Monsters" CDs. My son learned the story of Zaccheus in his religious ed. class last week, and he thought it was awesome that he had the story on a Justin Roberts CD (What's he doing up there?). It made the story more memorable for him. The songs are upbeat, witty and fun, in true Justin Roberts style, combined with a lesson from the Bible. What could be better?

  • Absolutely brilliant!
    author: Jerilynn B

We have been JR fans for many years and have grown to expect much. Why Not Sea Monsters totally lives up to the hype! You won't be disappointed!

  • Love it!
    author: Charlette Hradek

Familiar stories, catchy words and fun music. Love Justin's work!

    author: donna wetmore

have purchased all previous justin cd's my grandchildren know all the words was excited to hear about a new cd so ordered sea monsters as soon as it was available my family is not jewish - no matter! the songs and messages were presented in such a universal way that children can really"get it" i am following up our listening with corresponding bible stories thank you justin roberts!

  • Justin has outdone himself
    author: Meg Sima

Wow...we bought this CD (and Why Not Sea Monsters, songs from the Hebrew Scriptures) because we love Justin Roberts so much. We truly did not expect these CDs to become among our favorites! The songs have sparked some very interesting conversations with our preschooler & first grader (who is bringing the CDs to his religious education class this week, having just learned the story of the Rich Man's party in class last week and having told his teacher of the song). I do not know how Justin does it...coming up with the funniest lines while keeping the songs Biblically accurate! Will be loved equally by those who attend church weekly and those who have the proverbial "bi-annual/Chreaster membership"!

  • Keeps a 3 year old little sister and a 6 year old big brother listening!
    author: Sophie R

Both kids love the songs. Bigger Fish to Fry and Loaves of Bread are their favorites. The songs are everything you would expect from Justin Roberts - quirky, fun and catchy but follow the Bible stories we all know so well. And as an adult, I do not mind listening to these songs over and over again. They are truly fun family fare!

  • We love it!
    author: Jenny Mattern

We were already big Justin Roberts fans, but this CD, along with the "Songs from the Hebrew Scriptures", may be our favorite yet. We have listened to it countless times since receiving it a week ago, and our children, 2 and 4, are singing along and requesting their favorites to be played over and over.

  • Two thumbs up!!
    author: Anne Nelson

We strongly recommend this CD -- Our kids (ages 2 and 4)love the music, and we love the words. My 4 year old son listens intently, and then will ask questions about the stories. It's a great way to familiarize our kids with Bible stories. (Happily, the words are true to the Biblical text.) And the music is very fun -- lots of dancing in our house. Favorites include Bigger Fish and Shhh Shhh Shhh.
