notes
Ex-rock'n'roll guitar player turned classical guitarist. Rock bands included Ambient Noise and minor characters. Most known band is Ambient Noise with the single "I was There At the Texas Chainsaw Massacre", one of Spin magazine's top 35 punk rock love songs. Loved classical guitar while in rock bands. Discovered Victorian era guitar music, known in the United States as parlor guitar, about five years ago. A little known part of American music history, the music ranges from the 1830s to the 1920s. Ragtime was an influence in the late 1800s to early 1900s. No ragtime on this CD. All selections on CD are nature inspired. Cover art is by noted stained glass artist Louis Tiffany.
"It's not often you can turn on your CD player , sit back and find yourself in another century" Bob Rolfe(Corning Leader newspaper).
