Will Gell is a guitarist and composer from Scotland who has written instrumental music for many years. His music stems from his fingerstyle folk guitar roots into a fusion of styles from a medieval influence to rock.
Apogee is his debut album and features talented vocalist Joanna Lero.

author: JackieI have watched and listened to Will and Joanna on LiveVideo and Youtube for over a year now (has it been 2?) and I was really hoping he would do something like this. Something about Will's music really touches me, and the first music video of his I saw sold me! It's not just his outstanding guitar playing - and it is outstanding - I love his feel and his composition. His songs are various, intricate, sometimes delicate, multitracked affairs, and yet they 'breathe' and groove, having their own life force it seems. There is something very organic and alive about his music. Joanna's writing I've also enjoyed for some time. Her voice is gorgeous of course, but what made me really notice her is her seriousness about her own guitar playing. And I'm simply fascinated that she writes lyrics not in her native tongue - and does it very well! Here is an artist who loves her art and is serious about it. I hope for her release a CD of her own material soon. So when these 2 artists first teamed up, I was delighted. Their continued collaboration is good news for all of us. Give a listen to the clips.
