Fabulous!
author: Lory LazarusAlan... I typed in "www.wickedmessengers.com" numerous times in Yahoo and Google (even Clusty!) but cannot find your website. Therefore, I send you an email thru this review thing. First of all, the review: GREAT CD! Everything ranges from good to amazing -- nothing shoddy here. I haven't heard you sing in quite a few years, and forgot what a wonderful voice you have. It shines through on the CD. The players are all great, the mixing choices are great -- just GREAT. And the songwriting: again, I forgot how good you are. It has been so long. Best song (in my opinion) on the CD: "Wise To You." It is positively brilliant. Great lyrics, inner rhymes, and very clever, with great music to boot. I also loved "Top Shelf" and your finale, "The Greatest Thing" -- also great lyrics, with unexpected things going on in the progression of the words and music (I also can hear that you're now a dad -- amazing -- and you are still with Jodi. Congrats on creating a real life while still being an artist. It's tough). Bottom line: an EXCELLENT record. I didn't think it would be this good. The story of how I "found" you again after 8 million years: my wife was at a "Yarn" concert at Kenny's Castaways, and she met you there, she said. You gave her your CD (or she bought it -- I have no idea). I saw it laying on a table near our stereo and said to myself, "Wait a minute -- that guy looks real familiar." Then I opened it, saw it was you and freaked out. I finally had a chance to listen to it (and loved it insanely, as you can tell by now). Soooooo... since your website doesn't seem to be operative, this CD Baby review thingie is the only way I know how to contact you (if you even read these things). If you DO see this "review" -- know that Lory Lazarus from ye olden days was trying to get in touch. You'll find me at myspace.com/lorylazarus or lazoomusic@aol.com or 800-655-1494. Obey Godzilla. Hugs, Lory p.s.: GREAT RECORD!!!!!
buy this CD now...........you will stay up late listening to it

author: The Real Cousin BrucieNY bar scene veterans flex their rockabilly muscles on this smoking CD! Hot licks ("Get Outta This House", "Tiny Tijuana Saloon") and inspired lyrics ("What Would Elvis Do?", "So Far") make this a "must have"! Check them out at the Rodeo Bar (Manhattan) or Hank's Saloon (Brooklyn) -- run, walk, or crawl if you have to!
