FINE TUNES MUSIC

MARK WHITTY ....... Leader, Composer, piano, trumpet, vocalist
PATRICK WHITTY ........ Clarinet, Tenor Sax.
RICHARD WHITTY ....... Trombone, Guitar, producer.

Formerly DOCTOR JAZZ & SONS, now FINE TUNES.
Their CD, "UNDER THE INFLUENCE", is an album of fifteen tunes, all composed, sung and
played by Mark, accompanied by his sons and other musos.

The tunes are a tribute to Melbourne Jazz Pioneers such as " The Tortoise"
and "The Bear" who were his friends, and who gave him musical guidance in the early days.

The lyrics have historical references to these great musicians,
some are amusing, (SIDESADDLE CELLO).
Get this original CD and enjoy a good listen and a laugh.
Watch for the book "Fine Tunes" soon to follow. Hard copy or CDrom (PDF)

Mark is now a solo act or duo with Mark (ii) on drums.
He sings, plays trumpet one hand and at the same time plays
his custum made suitcase Steinway Grand with 15 bass pedals.
The whole rig is state of the art MIDI gear with 200 watts of
Yamaha mixer feeding 200 watt Etone 3 way bins.

"Under The Influence" was played over Shonan Beach FM Japan
on Mikiko Ohdera's "Jazzy Cruising" program on:- 16 Nov 2002.

Mark has extended his instrument line up to now include the
fabulous Native Instruments B4 Hammond organ in a laptop.
The set up is mouseless and parameters can be easily altered
while playing.
