BIOGRAPHY
OF
THE WHITFIELD MUSIC GROUP
On June 21, 1992 the world of Gospel music was devastated in the loss of the "Maestro" Thomas A. Whitfield Jr. He was truly a musical genius in contemporary, traditional Gospel music, and is considered a pioneer in the area of Praise and Worship. After a time of prayer and direction, The Lord birthed & manifested in Larry & David Whitfield a continuing vision of reaching the ears of many who are lost, and to share the Gospel through song. Through this, the inception of the Whitfield Music Group was formed in January of 1994
The singing aggregation, comprised of various soloist, musicians & singers, possessing the versatility and potential to sing the contemporary and traditional style music that the Lord was feeding into the writers of the ministry. Larry Whitfield, and their Musical Director Demetrius "Krayon" Nabors, spent many hours writing and arranging music, and sought for singers and musicians that could easily adapt to the task, without simplifying the musical changes. Our goal was to sing to the Lord without limitations.
THE MINISTRY
We are endeavored to sing knowing that when we evoke the glory of the Lord, He makes His presence known and available to the sick, the broken hearted, discouraged, suicidal, drug addicted, whatever the case may be. Over the years many alter calls have been made. Many people have accepted the Lord as their personal savior; they've been healed, delivered, set free, and encouraged!

Our endeavor is to diligently continue to enhance our musical abilities in hopes of developing our own accredited music-training center. A complex for those interested in pursuing a career in the music and arts field.
David and Larry visualize the Whitfield Music Group gifts and talents making careers in the industry.
God has given the Whitfield Music Group an unique way to reach the unsaved and saved, and we thank the Lord for enabling us to travel extensively, to share the gospel through song, for we do believe that, " we have a message for the world" - JESUS SAVES!!

A great Detroit sound...
author: George VaughnThis cd is unique. As I listen to the Whitfield brothers, I hear "The Maestro's" musical finesse, and the early Whitfield Company sound. I look forward to hearing more from this group. It sounded as if Thomas stepped in the room...
Finally...a Whitfield Project!!

I was blown away by the musical arrangement and lyrical content. This is by far my favorite CD. The Track Blackslider really takes me back to the Thomas Whitfield Days and of course the title cut This Time is so personal and done in true Tommy style. This is good music, and the choral group has an excellent sound.
This project is a "must-have" for any Thomas Whitfield Fan!!!!!!

Excellent lyrics, wonderful vocal arrangements, and those familiar "Whitfield Chord Progressions"; I went nuts after I popped the CD in and bought several copies for my friends. This Time, the title cut is my favorite, yet the duo with Larry and David singing Thank you for your Word, makes me rewind over and over again. If you've followed Thomas Whitfield's music over the years, this CD is a must have for your collection.

The production, the songwriting, the vocals, the music...everything is first class all the way. It's rare that I find an album where every track is strong, but "This Time" truly stands out (with my favorite cut being the title track, "This Time"). If you enjoy good music, gospel or otherwise, then you're in for a real treat because "This Time" is nothing short of GREAT music.
