Album Notes

The Weeks Trio & Friends CD include Raymond, Delia and Kevin Weeks; Doug Callahan (Delia's Brother); and Dave Crowe. Raymond, Delia, Kevin and Doug do the vocals. Kevin and Delia play instruments such as organ, piano, electric guitar, bass, drums and keyboard. Dave plays the steel guitar. We wanted to do this CD after the classic country style of the 50's and 60's, with some western swing. We feel we have achieved that goal pretty well, giving folks a way to hear Gospel music done in a true country flavor. With the market being saturated with contemporary and blue grass music, our CD is certain to be viewed as unique as we attempt to bring back a little bit of the classic country sound. There are four original songs on this CD - three written by Delia, one by Doug. Also included are two instrumentals (Goodbye Old World, Goodbye and Give Me That Old-Time Religion). The rest are songs written by others. Our main desire was that God would put His anointing on this CD. We believe He has. So if you are one who has been disappointed with the virtual disappearance of classic-country Gospel - and/or if you just want to hear some anointed music and singing, we are sure our CD will appeal to you.
