notes
I recorded this album as a gift for my grandmother, Dorothy Gary, who'd been asking me to record her some traditional hymns for some time. It was a lot of fun recording these, so I named it "volume 1" hoping that one day I'd have time to lay down some more of them...I haven't yet, but hopefully one day.
I recorded all of it in my rented room in Atlanta, GA. No isolation booths; no one but me working with old-school ADATS and manually mixed. So there you go.
Since Alan Jackson released an album of hymns in 2006, I thought it would be ok for me to release my album too. I hope you like it.

Baptist Hymnal
author: Gert van den HofI like this cd very much. It sounds so simple: a voice and a guitar, but simple means very good here. I am looking forward to Volume II. It's a pity that there is almost no artwork and nothing about the songs, writers and/or composers.
