notes

Here is the presentation of the new album from one of the most emblematic Portuguese heavy metal bands, Web. The title being World Wild Web, it was recorded and produced in the Rec n' Roll Studio by Luís Barros, mastered by Tommy Newton in the Area 51 Studio (Germany) and was edited by the Independent Records in February of 2005. This quartet is composed of, Victor Matos (rhythm guitar), Francisco Guimarães (lead guitar), Pedro Soares (drums) and Fernando Martins (vocals and bass).
This new release shows all the might and maturity, already visible in the participation of the "Tribute to the 20 years of Tarantula" with the same line up.
Web was founded 18 years ago, started in 1987 in the Portuguese metal underground, 8 of them with this formation, since 1997. Victor, one of the founders of Web designates his presence on the devastating rhythmic guitar accompanied to Francisco on lead guitar with distinguished virtuosity and precision. Having already an enviable career, as solo artist Francis G or coming from bands like Pitch Black and Nordica, one of the few bands that succeeded in 2003 on breaking onto the world market. On percussion is Pedro with a dependable and full participation with cohesion and confidence in every song. Finally Fernando consolidates the group with a vocal register that varies between melodic and trash and simultaneously enriches the songs with the power of the bass guitar.
