Weava is a 17-year old R&B vocalist with a strong urban contemporary vibe. He has a gifted voice that embodies soulfulness, passion, and inspiration. It is evident that this young man has the musical talent and the entertainment ingenuity to captivate audiences of all ages, races, and genres. This Birmingham native is a multi-talented singer, songwriter and musician. He is also an accomplished pianist and at a very young age, he began writing and singing his own songs. In 2005, he assisted in the musical production for the stage play "Mama I'm Your Child" performed in Atlanta, Georgia. Weava also had the opportunity to work with Grammy-Award winning producer and songwriter; Timothy Thomas. Born Jonathan Weaver, this former high school running back, has been influenced by both traditional gospel music and old school R&B superstars and these influences can be heard in his profound lyrics and compassionate vocals.
Although Weava is young in terms of age, he is clearly a mature musician and songwriter. His songs speak of experiences and emotions that only years of wisdom should have the ability to convey; but somehow this teenager can express every thought appropriately. His live performances are unforgettable and much more than hyped entourages and loud soundtracks. Weava incoporates a live band and background singers which makes for a crowd-pleasing interactive performance. He is often compared to his older counterparts; Usher, Jamie Foxx, and Mario. Like these successful performers, he is also a self-motivated entertainer who can appeal to almost every R&B, Hip Hop, and Adult Contemporary music fan. He immerses lyrics with hard-hitting street tracks and blazing drum beats that everyone can relate to. His highly anticipated debut CD entitled "Inside Out" is scheduled for a June 2008 release.
