Slindile lives at the Agape orphanage, a loving home for children who have lost their parents situated in the beautiful valley of 1000 hills, South Africa. Singing is a part of everyday life at Agape and the children have formed a much loved choir.

The award winning film WE ARE TOGETHER tells the incredible story of the children of Agape choir. Filmed over three years, it follows the children’s remarkable journey as they overcome hardship and loss and embark on a life changing musical journey.

This CD is a collection of the songs that appear in the film and some exciting new tracks with special guests including Ladysmith Black Mambazo, the Grammy Award winning Soweto Gospel Choir, and legends, Paul Simon and Alicia Keys!

    There's no words to describe the beauty and importance of this album, especially if one has been lucky enough to have also experienced the documentary about these children and their lives within and outside of the boundaries, if they even exist, of the Agape orphanage. We have it so easy in the USA, relatively speaking, and this entire story reflects how love, compassion, and kindness can overcome almost every obstacle Life presents. And to top off the whole wonderful immersion into Agape, the music is an indescribable expression of strength, brotherhood, and love. Everyone should put the children of Agape in their ears and in their hearts; and never turn away from their struggles to live life to its fullest.

    I went into the music store one day not really looking for anything particular. The cover of the dvd caught my eye so i picked it up and read it. I bought the dvd and was so impressed with it. There is so much talent in the music. Such strong and amazing voices. Just hearing the children sing brought tears to my eyes. Every time I play the cd, it still brings tears to my eyes. These children CAN SING!!!

    Like so many other, I saw the documentary and was moved & inspired by the life experiences and the voices. Oh, the voices! The songs touch my heart. I bought the CD & love it, which is saying a lot for a confirmed classic rock lover.     amaya taylor, 6years old likes the cd very much and wishes she could meet the children from africa.     I ordered this CD after watching the documentary on Dutch TV. Every time I here the songs I see the happy faces of the children of the orphanage while they rehearsed and performed their songs. An example of how making music can improve someone's well-being and help to forget the misery they went through. I hope you sell a lot the Children of Agape CD's so this orphanage can accommodate more children.

    I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! It's wonderful that many of my favorite songs from the film are on the album. I am also happy that the Agape young people blended their voices with the likes of The Soweta Gospel Choir & Ladysmith Black Mambazo, in addition to those of Zwai Bala and Paul Simon. I was also happy to hear the older Moya sisters. I am so happy about this CD. I will definitely be pushing the sale of this CD here in my city of Detroit, the State of Michigan and everyone I know throughout the U.S. GREAT JOB AGAPE!!! :-)

    I truly enjoyed the c.d.,their voices are excellent and angelic. What made me appreciate the CD more was the fact that I saw the HBO special before purchasing the CD. My heart and hopes go out to these children that they are able to continue making CD's to help support Agape and their surviving family members. it shows that even under such adversatiy they remain hopeful. The special reinforced that there is still so much work to be done to combat such a dreaded disease. God Bless and never stop singing.

    I watched the HBO documentary and was in tears several times. The music touched my heart to the point that I was late for work because I wanted to watch the end to find the web-site to buy the CD. My dauthers went to South Africa for a nursing internship and came back with a different spirit. I bought 2 CDs, one for me and one for my daughters as a surprise. Like the other readers, I wanted to do something to contribute to the Agape Children as they deserve so much more. God had touched their voices so they could make an impact on the rest of the world. It's up to us to contribute and let them know that their efforts are not going unnoticed. I pray that their situation gets better and that they never give up on their hopes and dreams.

    I just finished watching the movie, I have to say this was one of the most moving movies i've seen in a while. The children of the Agape Choir have some of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard. Little Mbali stole my heart! She has such a beautiful and strong voice for seven years old. All of the children do. I was just so touched by this movie. I think I cried almost the whole movie. I just wanted to reach out and embrace you all. I'm so happy that you all got to fulfill your dream and were finally able to travel to New York, and to sing with Alicia Keys and Paul Simon, despite the tough times you were going through. Their voices were nothing short of a natural gift from God. From the moment when they left their brother at the hospital, I couldn't stop crying until the end. I loved it!     My husband called me into the room to hear the children singing. My husband is a self taught musician who as myself was raised on accpella singing. When he heard the natural blending of the childrens harmonies he was very moved. We cried at the death of the young man and realized that only God knows the truth of this struggle but he is sharing it with all of us. We also realized as Af/Am Blacks that the gift that the children have shared with us comes from God and has always been a part of our lives eventhough we still do not know where we came from. Our elders sang in the same style as the childern and taught us...this is our connection to them and maybe our answer as to what can we do to help.     The voices of the children are fantastic. The CD is of high quality and sounds great. We hear a lot in the "media" about strong people, especially during our election years such as the women who are married to the various politicians but I think they could easily take lessons about strength and its true meaning from this group. To have gone through what they have and then become what they are is fabulous. It makes buying the CD such a small thing that it becomes insignificant in comparison. Macelia Macelia

    Have not got mine yet but will know i will love it. Have listened to the clips on here also heard the songs on t.v and they are brill wish we had this kind of music over here in scotland. My hat comes off 2 these kids as they are not looking for fame they dont know what fame is they do it for themselves power 2 them. I dont normally buy into charity but this is different as they are not looking 4 it they helping themselves there are alot of people in the world that can learn from these kids.
