notes
"Wayne Sutton lifted spirits."
--Gene Price, San Francisco Bay Times
"He is at his best with dramatic ballads."
--Pierce Carson, The Napa Register
With his rich baritone Wayne delights his audiences while his relaxed, at ease, love of interaction with them captivates, charms and involves all. His charisma makes his concerts an intimate experience.
A college voice major, he appeared in many leading roles in regional theater productions over the years before deciding to focus on his concert career. With the guidance of his mentor and close friend Faith Winthrop, Wayne has established himself as one of San Francisco's leading performers. Inspired by performers including Tony Bennett, Vic Damone, Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra, he has sought to create his own style which reflects an image of elegance and sophistication.
Performing all around the world, he still calls San Francisco home. He hosts the popular Cabaret Spotlight at Johnny Foley's Irish House along with the San Francisco Bay Area Cabaret Competition.
Recent appearances include:
* Zingari Ristorante at The Donatello Hotel, San Francisco
* The Plush Room, San Francisco
* El Portal Theater; North Hollywood, Los Angeles
* The Gardenia, Los Angeles
* Hotel Du Lac; Bellagio, Italy
* Shadow Lounge; London, England
* The Union Club; London, England
* Carta, San Francisco
* Slates Supper Club, Walnut Creek
* Silverado Country Club; Napa, California
Among his many blessings he most values sharing the stage with many great entertainers including Wesla Whitfield, Mike Greensill, Barry Lloyd, Faith Winthrop, Richard Skipper, Karen Benjamin, Jacqui Naylor and Karen Morrow.
Believing that charity begins at home has led him to lend his talents to numerous charitable organizations including:
* Toys for Tots
* Kiwanis
* The American Cancer Society
* Teddy Care Concerts
* Queen of the Valley Hospital
* The Little Jim Club
Whether he is singing songs by Cole Porter, Gershwin, contemporary writers John Bucchino or Byron Walls you will find his style engaging and his voice mesmerizing.
