notes
The music of Wayne is captivating, immediate and original.
Uplifting, non-formula songs that don't leave you.
If you like REM, Tom Petty, Matchbox20, Vertical Horizon, U2 and DMB , this album will definitely appeal to you.
'Music On Plastic' gives you 40+ minutes of hauntingly familiar but brilliantly different songs by one of America's most pure and honest bands.
The music of Wayne will take you from 0 to 100 with every listen.

Music on Plastic
author: Parsa RafatianI loved the album because it was so well written and sounds great. I can also picture Rodney singing it because I've seen him before.
i love this band
author: kateThis cd is one of those that you can listen to a hundred times without every getting tired of it. The track Figure It Out is very captivating. It begins slow and melodic like the rest of the album, with a steady pick up that is heart wrenching, really makes you want to fall in love :] I love this cd!

One of the best modern rock/pop CDs you'll ever hear. Yes, really.
Catchy with depth
author: John R. WheatleyMost of the songs on this CD are catchy, but they are not sugar sweet pop music. They are catchy in that they will draw you in and make you feel something. I find myself rewinding some of these songs and listening to them 3 or 4 times in a row, listening closer and closer each time. Check out "Whisper", "Shooting At The Stars", and "Letterbox" (you might have to go to their website to hear some of these). Unlike many groups in this genre, the singer for Wayne has a solid, focused voice that rings with sincerity. He really sings. If you like Splender and Travis, you will probably like Wayne.
Wayne Rocks!

author: T. R.This is the best CD I have bought in a long time. It's nice to hear some good guitar rock again. Rodney Reaves lyrics are thought provoking and moving. It's a must buy. Get it now.
Great for all taste. Really outstanding.
author: Russell FulmerMe and my wife have different taste in our music and we both really like "Wayne". These guys really know what they are doing. Great sound, keep it up.
Honestly one of the best!
author: Monet SommersAfter hearing the band play live, I instantly had to buy the CD. One time hearing the stellar vocals and amazing guitar riffs of Wayne was all it took for me to know that I had to have it. The CD hasn't left the player since. Buy it now-- you won't be disapointed.
Buy it now
author: EI am disappointed in those few reviewers below who have dissed this record. I hear in this music, unequivocal truths that hit home with incredible intensity. This power is not something that is going to pound you in the face the second you press play. It is something that grows as you develop a relationship with this record. As I listen to it over and over again, I pay attention to things I didn't hear before. I might hear a line and something will crystallize in my mind as one of those truths I mentioned, and the recognition of that truth creates the intensity of emotion. This is the beautiful thing about the Wayne record-the vibrancy and intensity is never spent, it just keeps building and keeps taking me new places. Also, this is one of the few records I can listen to in any mood. I think that this is the way in which this record is similar to certain albums of Tom Petty's, U2 and REM. If you choose to invest in this album, you will not regret your purchase!
REM, Tom Petty, Matchbox20, U2? I don't think so...
author: Hogs Head RecordsNot nearly the intensity of these bands - More laid back, like Neil Finn/Crowded House, Michael Penn, etc. Definitely talented musicians and worth a listen.
they're great
author: Sue Weberi like it alot
Can this be true?
author: SaxonIn today's time of musical hype, gimmicks, and mockery, finally a band with integrity. Wayne is a true musical masterpiece. Rodney Reeves fills the disc with poetic, deep, meaningful lyrics. I recommend this CD to anyone who likes good music.
One of the best albums I've heard from beginning to end
author: AmandaI'm addicted to this album from beginning to end. Everytime I listen to it..I find new meanings in each of the songs. I can't wait for the next one!
WOW!
author: Erwino OuwerkerkThere is so much written already that hits the nail right on it's head. Just like this music does on mine. This is ... wow!
Outstanding
author: Russell F.I listened to a friends CD and had to buy it. It is great. In a period of dead music comeing from everywhere, this album is a sight to sore ears. Keep up the good work.
Wayne is undeniably excellent
author: D. LeeI had heard that Wayne's new record MUSIC on PLASTIC was great, so I decided to check it out. When I was first taking the disc out of the shrink wrap getting ready to play it, I remember feeling skeptical about it. It seems like so many bands will have a hit song and put a lot of effort into marketing that one hit but when you buy the album it has no substance whatsoever. This is definitely NOT the case with Wayne. This band and their producer have drawn upon some AMAZING talent to make an album that is truly wonderful. I am sitting here trying to type in a review of this record and I can't really think of any exact words that can describe to you how unbelievably good MUSIC on PLASTIC is. I listen to it again and again, and discover it anew each time in a multitude of ways. It is complex, yet totally straightforward. It is lighthearted and serious-minded at the same time. It is definitely rock but it goes so completely beyond genre that anyone (who has any/all taste in music) who can legitimately call themselves a human being would have to admit that MUSIC on PLASTIC is a masterpiece. It is a masterpiece, but I know that it is not necessarily their Magnum Opus. I know that they will have much more to say in years to come and I for one, definitely look forward to being a long time fan of Wayne.
MAGIC on plastic
author: #1 GroupieMusic on Plastic is one of the greatest albums i have ever owned. if you don't have this cd, you will never fully understand the great joy that is WAYNE.
This is a no-brainer, immediate disc for anyone's collection.
author: Elise KoleskyIt's not often that you can listen to something on first listen and be drawn into the music so immediately. What I love about this record is it's ability to make me want to hear more, listen again, hear something different and feel like it was written just for me. I find myself singing bits and pieces of the songs without even realizing it throughout my day. Lyrically, vocally and musically it's probably the best record I have heard all year. Slow Down kills me, although I really love Whisper, Take Me Home, Head Up...well, all of them for that matter! A friend of mine in Birmingham had turned me onto this record, so I am really pleased I was able to finally purchase it online. (thanks).
WAYNE is timeless
author: Josh SelfMusic on Plastic is one of the most honest and timeless albums I've heard in a long time. From the first song SLOW DOWN, the album gets you in a layed back southern rock mood. Then they knock your socks off with SHOOTING AT THE STARS and LETTERBOX, straight up heavy rockers. Then get ready for the effects on IF YOU LEAVE with some cool drum sequencing by drummer Jon Hornsby. Guitar master Michael Swann's use of Ebow and Whammy on HEAD UP and other effects on FIGURE IT OUT grabs your attention immediately! This album has many sonic surprises thanx to not only the band's genious but also the expert hand of producer and engineer Jason Elgin (who has also recorded and mixed for Virgos Merlot and done work for Collective Soul). This is one of the most timeless albums I've ever heard.
