notes
Walter Alias is a burgeoning quartet currently based out of Kansas City who recently released their debut album entitled "Examples of the Cataclysmic" in February of 2007. Following up with numerous live performances around the midwest as well as the west coast, a presence of enthusiasm is starting to ensue for the young group. Their sound contains an immense palate of strong driving riffs with massive drums, to synth strings and whimsical guitars, coupled with a strong melodic lyrical content.
"Serious pop-rock meant to be heard by the masses." Crystal K. Wiebe, The Pitch.
"Its big, serious music that fans of Snow Patrol and Vedera should eat the hell up-- it has more of a cinematic, progressive bent to it than those bands even." Jason Harper, The Pitch.

Ahh
author: Matt RobinsonLove the arrangement on Goodmorning. It's so epic and rich.
Good stuff
author: KiraA friend pointed me at their MySpace suggesting I might enjoy them. She wasn't wrong. I love the unique sound, especially Examples of the Cataclysmic, Touch and Go and Reset to Zero. It just feels ... I hesitate to say epic, but the arrangement just makes the songs sound so much more then indie rock. All in all very pleased with the cd.
Awesome
author: MarkVery big sound. I have seen the guys live once and they don't dissapoint.. with their live show or CD. Sounds better than Muse even... more unique and big.
