*****************
After having moved from California to New York, singer/songwriter Brian Wurschum formed a band called The Voyces. Soon the group released “The Angels of Fun” (2003), a mostly folk-oriented effort co-produced by Diego Garrido (The Simpsons, The Squid and the Whale). That same year, The Voyces would receive international exposure when one of their songs, “Relate To Me,” was included in Jack Johnson’s “Thicker Than Water” film and soundtrack.
Singer Laurel Hoffman left the group in 2004. Wurschum performed as a solo artist for awhile, but in 2006, Wurschum joined forces with singer Jude Kastle, and the pair completely re-formed The Voyces (along with guitarist Steve Dawson, drummer Eric Puente and longtime bassist Frank Carreno). That same year, two of the band's songs found their way into another feature film, "National Lampoon’s Adam & Eve" (and into the television show, "Monarch Cove.")
In March, 2007, their new record "Kissing Like It's Love" became available for online pre-orders, and remained a bestseller at Barnes & Noble dot com, going into a second pressing well before its official release.
(March 18th: #7, overall sales; April 1st, #3 Alternative Bestseller list).

I can't stop!!!
author: The Fuzz HauntedWe were lucky enough to see the voyces play here in NYC. We love this disc!
Worth Buying
author: WB - GeorgiaGreat CD - Ready to hear more from The Voyces. Get this one for your collection.
Breathtaking noise.
author: Ada VeenThis album is stunning, each song an accomplishment. Melodies run through my head all day long. Lyrics make me want to live and love and give a little more.
Finally, the Voyces music in Hi Fi sound. Fantastic.
author: ChristopherI first heard the Voyces over 5 years ago in NYC, at the Fort in the East Village. When I heard Brian and Laurel's voices harmonize, I was hooked. I have the Zelig CD and the rare "Best day of my life". One has sparse arrangements with crisp production, the other has more ambitious arrangements with limited production. "Angels of Fun" brings the best of both together. The songs and harmonies are beautifully written and only grow on the listener. Great work.
Excellent melody,Top notch harmony for moody , well written songs.
author: Steve D - NYCA perfect blend of melody, crossed voicings and instrumentation. The spaces in between the notes are just as important as the music. This duo ranks with the greatest of singers and songwriters. I strongly suggest you, the reader, go see a performance,if you have not already. Now if only A&R reps were trained in the art of LISTENING to live acts these days, The Voyces would be packing Radio City,3 nights in a row by now. Beautiful job, kids. Don't stop now.
Looking for more of the Voyces
author: JasonGreat CD, smooth music. Can't wait for the next album
The Voyces have voices!
author: TwoPyntsThis is a great CD, kinda folky with prog rock of the 60s sentimentalities and wonderful vocal harmonizing. I got it about a week ago and have listened to it every day. The music is very catchy and beautiful, I'd recommend it to most anyone. I got turned on to the Voyces from their track on the Thicker Than Water soundtrack.
This group is really very good
author: Amanda876These songs are quite excellent. Very catchy, and with profound lyrics. I have not stopped listening to it since I yanked it from it's wrapper. Big fan here.
Cool, Happening, Acoustic & Melodic Beautiful Noise To Die For
author: Kelly RighteousWhat can you say about a true phenomenon such as The Voyces are? Everything about them is magical from the music to the singing to the lyrics to their presence on stage to, well, them. Every single song is good - there is NOTHING you could not enjoy even if you tried not to do so. At this point all I can do is to urge you to please stop what you've been doing with your self, get out of bed, pull on your shorts, get dressed and purchase this masterpiece before you have to pay big-time-distribution prices or until it runs out of copies, whichever comes first. Get your copy of The Angels of Fun today and cherish it as it should be. See The Voyces in concert and you will be happy that you did so. Yours Truly has been inspired beyond words. Rock on, you shiny diamonds.
