A HISTORY OF GROTESQUENESS

1995: Steve, Jeremy, and Joseph start jamming together.

2004: After a stretch of years of being apart Jeremy, Joseph and Steve form a band and call it Art of Dying. They record their first demo later that year.

2005: The band plays it's first show in January as a three piece
and continues to play shows consistently. Matt Thomas joins the band to take on bass guitar duties.
The band records its first CD "Homicide Utopia". Later in the year Tina Rock Vegas joins the fold on second guitar, giving the band a full lineup.

2006: The band continues to perform with a vengeance and records another demo as a 5 piece.
Due to pending legal action the band name changes to A Vision Grotesque.
In March of that year the band is featured on SERIES DVD vol. 4.

2007: Tina parts ways with the band, AVG signs with
Room Temperature Records and records their first label release album "King of the Massacre".
The band recruits former Crucible of the Damned guitarist Chuck Endsley to fill Tina's spot. "King of the Massacre" is released in May.

A Vision Grotesque has been fortunate enough to play with bands from Road Runner Records, Metalblade, Prosthetic, Life Force and Tribunal Records

  • Excellent hardcore metal CD
    author: RadioIndy.com

“King of the Massacre” by A Vision Grotesque is an explosive expression of untamed, hardcore metal. Dark, Electrifying, and chest-pounding best describe this attention-grabbing collection. Thrilling guitar work takes the center stage, backed by hard-hitting drumming. Vocally, this band gives it all they’ve got – literally. “Funeral Whore” demonstrates AVG’s stunning guitar work and overzealous vocals. “A Vision Grotesque” also stands out as very radio-friendly, and showcases the sheer performance power that this band radiates. Lyrically, AVG strikes gold with their well-written metaphoric messages. Overall, “King of the Massacre” is a great metal album, built for the most hardcore of metal fans.
