Steve Baker started the band, Violet Fane, in 2000 after being involved in a string of different projects, which ranged from original folk-rock to '30's jazz.
"We were fortunate to have many talented, local players help us with the CD", says Steve. "We all hail from suburban Boston, Ma. This is Violet Fane's debut album. Nadine, the lead singer,is a postal worker by day and the song "21st Century P.O. Blues" has been wildly popular among not only her co- workers, but by enthusiastic music lovers of that noble profession throughout the country, as evidenced by the fan e- mail we've received from visitors to this very site."
The music on this disc is acoustic based and lyrical.
"We were very diligent in making sure that the songs breathed and conveyed the feelings we got when they were written. We hope you enjoy it!"
