notes
The interpretation achieved implies a profound comprehension of music and a significant expressive capacity of their instruments, with the necessary precision, subtlety, sonorous qualities, and balance.
Sergio Mesa (Composer)
The Vinasco (clarinet) – Ruiz (piano) duo started in 2004 with the idea of playing Latin-American music. Their main focus has been the research, interpretation and recording of pieces such as the ones displayed in this first CD. The recording is dedicated to Colombian composers and you will clearly see the exploration the duo has made on performing and musical statements. The duo has played in Mexico City’s main halls as well as performed in music festivals in Latin and North America.
