notes
David's debut solo album from 1991 "PROOF THROUGH THE NIGHT" was remixed and remastered in 1999, and released in Japan, Europe and in the U.S. to solid reviews. The lead single, "GETAWAY MACHINE", a catchy radio-friendly rocker, gets regular rotation on Japanese radio.
The album and style get regular comparisons to Rick Springfield for the melodious, vocal intensive and guitar-driven style. The song "Proof Through The Night" is a bit of a tear-jerker, but the rest of the album is very upbeat and happy-sounding. Just the thing to play in your IPOD as you commute or work!

Totally awesome.
author: effalump2I think this cd ROCKS!!!!! Every song on this is awesome. My personal favs are Getaway Machine, Tears Like Rain, Proof..., Look What you Did to My Heart, and Summer Rules. But all the other songs are fabulous as well. Great lyrics, wonderful guitar and drum tracks and kick-ass vocals make this one of my all time favorite cds.
great melodies
author: EmmanuelI bought this cd last week (from France) and it's a good surprise for all fans of melodic rock : nice guitars, good melodies (but i don't like the song "one minute" which is boring, and without originality, and without real melodie !) The songs "Proof" and "amrerican eyes" are fantastic, superb melodic rock in the vein of Journey, Thin Lizzy or Toto. A real gem to discover; it's just a pity that there are no progressive influences inner the songs (in order to change the rythme, create some new atmosphere...), maybe in the future to come, on a new album of David Victor or Velocity ? manuchristine88@free.fr
AOR AT ITS BEST!
author: Brian NelsonOutstanding release in 1991, 1999, or any year! Solid production, musicianship--David does it virtually all by himself--, story lines, and a great voice. I listen to this CD over and over--even my kids of 8 and 5 are hooked. David's Velocity CD is great also. If you like AOR this has to be in your collection, you will not be disappointed!
