4. A Collaborative effort between the American rapper, Doctor Oscify from Fort Collins Colorado, and the German beat producer, Ulliversal, of Hamburg, to form the ultimate hip hop power house.

Bjorn Ullrich (ULLIVERSAL) has been an Producer/Musician since 1997. Ulliversal started as a guitar player for a german hip hop crew in 1997 called "Diebe Der Zeit." After the group broke up, Ulliversal formed a new Hip Hop crew, they began to play shows all over Germany,opening for acts such as Jeru the Damaja, as well as German local artists.
That crew also broke up so Ulliversal forged on, working with many artists abroad, including Doctor Oscify, Joe Fury and many more.

Doctor Oscify (born Leo Henry Fairbanks) was born in
Denver, Colorado. He grew up on Denver’s North Side and always had an affinity for music, At age 17, in 2002, Leo started a hip-hop crew with some high school friends called Mothers on Acid.Leo’s rap name at the time was the “Lyrical Miracle. They freestyled frequently, wrote songs and only recorded on a total of three occasions.

In 2005, Doctor Oscify started getting some notoriety for his skill and got on a few mixtapes and worked with tons of emcees and producers including the German beat maker Ulliversal with whom he would start a group called Versify. And the rest, is history.

The debut album of this legendary super group is the first major cd for New Ground Collabo Records. Filled with guest appearances from IMPROV, THE SECONDARY and the master emcee, KRS-1, this cd is sure to be one of the most talked about independent records of 2006.

    One of the best albums i've heard in a while. Ulliversal's beats are as inspiring as the are deep, and create a surreal musical landscape that enthralls. The Doctor's rhymes are on point too, he's definatly got a flow to him. A definate deep album and a buy for sure.

    Versify keeps the listener fully engaged with a fundamental artistic honesty rarely seen in most hip-hop these days. With song topics ranging from political unrest, to depression, to braggadacio, to souring relationships, one can't help but to feel that he(she) is listenting to a piece of Doctor Oscify's diary when hearing this album. Versify is easily the most emotionally driven hip-hop album of the year.

    Dr. Oscify definately earns his title of Doctor with this CD! He attacks the beats with surgical precision, imepcciable flows, and versatile sounds. Ulliversal the producer is definately a solid underground producer. The best track i would say on this cd is "Lady Luck". From the beats relaxing and resonating feel, the catchy vocal sample to the Doctor and The Secondary tearing the track up, everything is perfect on that track. Definately a classic. Crowd Control is also another great song on this cd. if you aint checked Versify then youre missing out on truly good music. Peace. Domo
