notes
"My first reaction on seeing this was "it's about time!" Once in the player, I turned to "remarkable!" As I wrote the review, I shifted to an utterly satisfied "superb!" This is simply grand! " ...
-Phil Dirt (www.ReverbCentral.com)
The V-People return for another invasion with their follow-up album to 'Jetty Subject To High Surf'! 17 new V-tracks from those masters of reverb, all high energy and totally authentic, as would be expected from these 4 veterans of the original surf music scene of the early 60's.

Viva Vara-Tones
author: David Bailey from MichiganThis CD is awesome! I just discovered the Vara-Tones 2 months ago on CD Baby, by accident, and now they are one of my favorite groups. All of the songs are excellent. Can't wait for their next release.
Surf Lives!
author: Robin CampbellSo who would imagine that new, original surf rock would still be popping up in this new century? And that it would be so incredibly fresh and yet so true to its roots? Playing this disc is like jumping in a time machine that goes forwards and backwards at the same time. The material and performance are a solid 5 stars. The production is a bit uneven at times, with somewhat muddy EQ on the drums and, on Pipeline, a lead guitar that's mixed way too low. But don't let that stop you from getting this disc! It's a safe bet that it sounds better than anything else in your collection, with the possible exception of their previous album "Jetty Subject To High Surf".
Almost as Good as the Ventures!!
author: Bill TurnerWhen a young man in the late 70's I dreamed about being able to play like these guys. This CD made me nostalgic, and at the same time glad to be where I am today. I love the reverb. The pops and hollows are the best. This album will definately turn you into a V-Person, If you weren't one already.
Great surf & skate music!!!
author: Rich WardOld guys playing old and new music(I'm an old guy too so I can say that). Traditional surf music style that is obviously done by those who have been there. Fender guitars, Fender amps and lotsa drippy reverb. The way it oughta be. Fast tunes, slow tunes and in between. Buy it now!
one of the best surf instrumental albums to come out in several years!
author: J.T. from OregonI cant say enough good things about this album, for Bill Epps to write so many great original songs on this album is amazing, these songs are what the Fender surf sound is all about and has been since the 60's. HEADIN' OUT, ROCKIN' THE BACH and SOUPY SEZ are the culmination of this groups playing together for so long, the sound is all Fender reverb at it's best! OCEAN MEETS LAND is my choice as my best new song and will be for a long time to come, it should be considerd as theme music for any future surf movie that is on video or the big screen! My final choice of BEYOND the BLUE is a slow melodic song that is a perfect example of the 60's Fender sound that we "boomers" remember as part of our high school dances back then. This is a must buy album, i give it 5 stars easy; it's an album you will listen to over and over again!
