notes

The Atlanta based band, Urban Grind, is a true fusion of the two poles of rock and rap.

Imagine Fishbone, Bad Manners, Rage Against The Machine and Parliament making a record together. Then sprinkle some phat beats and scratches from DJ Hurricane to complete the recipe and we have 'hip.a.delic funk'.

Don't let the word funk imply that there is not a heavy, aggressive sound coming from this band. Urban Grind could get a pit started a national GOP convention!

Touring in the southeast and midwest has given this band a strong fan base that continue to keep this CD selling.

Urban Grind's motivation to create original music has stalled some major label negotiations but you have to buy a CD because you like the artist, not just the song.

Urban Grind is a band that has great songs that YOU will groove and rock to.

What an incredible gathering of grooviness!! It's diverse in both the sound as well as the general vibe of each tune and the lyrics, which are matched up nicely. Pretty much every cut on the cd makes ya wanna both jump up and get your groove on as well as learn all of the words, some of their lines are classics in my circle of friends already. I cant wait til the rest of the world learns of the treasure we have here in the ATL. They are a Kick Ass Wrecking Crew whos boundless energy would make any Mama proud. I encourage anyone with the opportunity to go and see their stage show, but be forewarned, it aint for the weak......ROCK ON WITH YOUR BAD SELF(ves?)!!
