The University of North Texas 2:00 Steel Drum Band is a popular ensemble in the North Texas area. The twenty-five-member steel band is comprised of undergraduate percussion majors at the prestigious UNT College of Music in Denton, Texas. In addition to numerous tours and performances at music conferences, the 2:00 Steel Band has also been featured at Percussive Arts Society International Conventions. Featuring two steel drum bands, UNT has been a leader in steel drum performance since the establishment of the UNT steel band program in 1982. The 2:00 Steel Band’s first self-titled CD was released in 1999 and we are excited to bring you this latest recording. Enjoy!

author: David HoupeBought a ticket to the islands. The deftness of the lead pans combined with the sonorous bass and articulate engine room made for a fine listen. I got an extra copy just to keep in the car.
