notes
That boy is a problem. Never was a truer sentiment echoed when describing the Florida born, Baltimore bred MC known as UnReal. Biting sarcasm, sharp wit, combined with a polished delivery and a fierce lyrical ability make UnReal a force to be reckoned with. Influenced by Jay Z, B.I.G., Nas, Red Man, Big Daddy Kane, Big Pun, Big L, and Kool G Rap, UnReal is a combination of all, yet sounds like none. At the age of 9, his family moved from Florida to is fathers hometown, Baltimore. It was here that UnReal's passion for hip hop was discovered and cultivated.
By the age of 14, UnReal joined the rap group the Afiliashun. In 1996, the Afiliashun released an EP entitled, Its Time, which featured the record Whos This. This was the first record to feature Unreal, who at the time rapped under the alias, Wyse, to receive any critical praise.
Soon after the Afiliashun split. After exploring many different situations, he decided to form UnReality Entertainment and push his own product. In December 2004, UnReality Ent. Would release UnReals first official mixtape, Real Talk vol. 1. Due to the mixtape's growing buzz, UnReal followed with a maxi-single entitled, Street Heat. Since Real Talk vol. 1's release, UnReal has appeared on quite a few mixtapes such as, Street Radio vol. 1, 2 & 3( hosted by DJ Radio, Kay Slay & Clinton Sparks), Hamsterdam( Darkroom Productions), On Da Grind vol. 2, 3 & 4, and Boss Talk vol. 30( hosted by DJ Booman). With appearances on projects such as Hood2Ville, Harm City(hosted by DJ DNA), and Bmore's Most Wanted, UnReals plate is very full. All of this coupled with the releases of his new mixtape,Dat Boys a Problem, and his up-coming album, Real Talk vol. 2, signals a bright year for UnReal.
