Unified Tribe is back with their third and most soulful album to date, “FUNKtional Family.” From smooth mid tempos like “Back And Forth” that deal with the trials of relationships, to upbeat mood transforming cuts like Keep On Keepin' On.

Unified Tribe’s Funktional Family CD continues to capture listeners all over the globe. The Bold and the Beautiful will air their second single Happy Go Lucky on Friday November 16, 2007. Happy Go Lucky is the follow-up to their chart topping single Back n’ Forth. Both jocks and listeners are digging the upbeat, mood transforming sounds of the track.

FUNKtional Family, the third release from mega-band Unified Tribe is making noise in both radio and retail. The first single “Back and Forth,” broke onto the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts at number 77 and entered the Sound Scan US top selling singles charts at number 17. On the heels of the single, FUNKtional Family has followed with a break onto Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart, and is now at iTunes. Both jocks and listeners are jumping on the undeniably sultry “Back And Forth” and its illustrious b-side “Don’t Wanna Be.” At radio, early believers included Kiss 106.9 FM (Alexandria, LA), Hot 107.7 (Birmingham, AL), and The Beat 92.7 (Jacksonville, FL).

More than 350 retail outlets have picked up the album FUNKtional Family, with coverage growing weekly. Retail support includes in-store play, listening booths, and prominent placement. "Every member of this group is talented to the point of perfection. The vocals & instruments were so tight and yet smooth, my attention was captured throughout the CD," states Selekto Steve of Select-O-Hits Distribution.

Becoming one of UK’s mega soul bands Unified Tribe’s FUNKtional Family has made a major stir abroad. The album is receiving airplay on BBC Radio1 and that station’s Trevor Nelson says it all with, “This album is mental!” The Album has hit number one on the three largest independent charts in the UK - the Blues & Soul Hiplist, Street Soul Chart, and Solar Radio Sweet Rhythms Chart - the only record of 2006, of any genre, to top all three charts. Blues & Soul Magazine says it is "arguably the hottest soul/R&B album around, with heavy airplay from the UK’s leading soul DJs. A must for lovers of the soulful groove." Additionally, FUNKtional Family has outsold all other import soul releases of the season.

    when first introduced to this band,a few years back,was blown away by cuts like "The Look of Love", not quite as funky as the new cd, but still outrageous! the new single has STARDOM written all over it! Congratulations to Magic and the tribe, the next EW&F!!

    I had been aware of this group before, but this latest release is sure to grab everybodies attention, not the least mine. I have been playing this CD to death on my show and privately. This is good from start to finish and there is not a duff track in sight. It bounces with energy, enthusiasm and fun, you can tell that the guys had a ball doing this. You don't get this much fun with manufactured bands. I am now on a mission, to buy all the other CD's this fantastic group have brought out in the last few years. You cannot go wrong with this. This goes back to the days of the big group and they do it well and sound so good. Unified Tribe, Magic and the crew, you are magnificent..."Keep On Keepin' On"!!

    You may remember as a child the sheer breathless excitement of buying something you really wanted and then taking it home and enjoying it. Funktional Family, the new album by Unified Tribe did all that and more for me. And the really cool thing...everybody I play it to, loves it too. Its quite possibly the album of the decade.....
