Sonically, this 3-piece brings many different influences to the table with a few constants: thick guitars, solid grooves, and sweet vocal harmonies. Their live shows inspire hoarse throats and tired legs (and sometimes ringing ears!).
Uncle Nestor is poised for a breakout year in 2006. The debut album is receiving rave reviews and the video for the first single, “Woman Like the Wind”, has already been featured on MuchMoreMusic in Canada.

Great debut CD, has never left my player
author: RKThis CD has not left my player since I got it. Uncle Nestor have a grungy rock style which I wouldn't call country - they perhaps have more in common with Foo Fighters. For a 3-piece band, they have an impressively full sound with particularly fine vocal harmonies. Every track on the CD is a killer, great lyrics, powerful music and an energy that cries out to be felt live. Good luck to the band with this release - I can't wait for the next one.
